Spring Cat

It's an odd Spring Saturday.

That means it's been raining and sunny.

Cold and windy.

Odd weather to be sure.

No new photos of my own purr gang

but I did find this cutie.

Been busy over here with life.

It keeps me on my toes.

Meredith Ann is next to me.

Napping on the chair cushion.

Spoiled.

Yes, she is.

The tea is sweetened just a bit.

Seemed like an good afternoon

in the rainy ville I live in,

So, the buzz saws continue

but are manageable

with lots of coffee

and now a beer.

It's windy today.

The warms are here

but the wind

it is a blowing.

 

Too much to be on the

back deck so I go in

the front yard and watch

Mr. Boatman work on the front porch.

 

It is sinking.

Yes, down it goes.

He is putting boards under

the posts to make it level.

This place looks nice

but the builder sure must

have known someone

cause it has troubles galore.

 

Anyway, I'm going in and out.

Meredith is on the chair.

I let her out back

but she came right in.

Her furs didn't like the blowy effects.

The Simple Things

~ ~ ~

It's a quiet Saturday afternoon.

The sun was out for a while.

Just enough to tempt me into going out back.

I sat with my new cat cup filled with coffee.

The girls, Maddy Jean and Jodie Belle, were playing.

Meredith Ann was on her leash chewing grass.

Me, I sat on the steps,

thinking and taking in the delights of my woods.

The sounds are too much.

Trying to figure out who is talking to who.

Which bird flew to that tree.

Just a wild bunch I have in my woods.

Nice to be able to walk out there.

As of yesterday, I am no longer using my cane.

Not here at home.

My day surgery last week has done wonders.

I don't have sharp pain when I stand on my leg.

It's still a bit like rubber and not totally dependable

but, I do think that I am good as can be expected.

I've been busy going to other appointments.

This time for my kidney problems that were

discovered in my mri for my spine.

The ct done this week showed a lot more than I wanted.

Yesterday, I got a call that my Dr. wants to get me in

for kidney surgery as soon as possible.

I am being handed over to the surgery nurse.

Next week I will start the process of scheduling the when and where

and tests that might need to be done before.

If all goes well, I'll only be in the hospital a day or two.

See why I haven't had time to write.

Been having too much fun going here, there and everywhere.

My family wonders how I'm coping with all of this at the same time.

Not much else I can do but enjoy the day.

Worry about tomorrow another day.

So, on this sort of sunny Saturday,

I enjoy the simple things that bring me great joy.

I'm having coffee

My dog Bella is curled up next to me

She likes to be by my feet

Al is by the door

I guess so he can bat at whomever comes by

Maddy Jean is at the end of the bed

Giving her sad puppy look

She does it so well

I took the girls out this morning

You know how Bella has to still be on a leash

Due to her bionic leg and all

So out I go

Only after my first step 

I realize that I have entered the icy zone

In my slippers of all things

Nothing like sliding along a wooden deck

With two happy pups

Squirt bottle in one hand 

Which I had to maneuver into my pocket

It was a .. need both hands kind of .. walk

Crunch Crunch went the orange leaves

As I walked, and I'm reminding you again,
in my slippers

All the way to the back of the side yard

Why does she,
I'm talking about Bella here,
need to visit the azaleas that live by the side fence 

They're nice and all but seriously ... WHY ?

As we made it back to the house

We get back in the house

I take her leash off

I feed them

Maddy Jean finally realizes we went inside

She's kind of a silly Golden 

Cute though ... think ... Smiling ... again

She does it really well

I turn around and think

It's too quiet

Why is it quiet

Oh I know

Mr. Boatman isn't here

He isn't in Shanghai either

No, he's in ... are you ready for this one

Like everyone says this about their husband 

He's in Sweden ...

And, after I realized this

I made my coffee

I went upstairs to my old puter

Remember, the one I use is broken

And, checked to see if his flights got in

They did ... by the way

Also, checked the time in Sweden

It's Saturday afternoon 

Only he already did Saturday 
yesterday

I called but no answer

I'm sure he's gone off to his hotel room

And collapsed in total confusion 

As to where he is and what time it is

And, that's my Saturday Meowning so far ..

Cat Slave

It's Saturday MEOWning & I'm a slave to my orange boy ...

He told me that Bird TV just wasn't up to his standards ..
Meaning that the feeders were ... empty ...

I being the Cat Slave ... took a sip of my delic coffee ... found some flip flops that were on the kitchen floor ... teenagers ... went out to the garage. Refilled the feeders in the meowning mist. Kind of a fog like cloudy kind.

Came back in ... told the Royal Orange Boy ... that his Bird TV had been fixed. I'm the cable gal ... he turned around and MEWed at me. Allowed me to tell him how pretty he was and how sweet. A whole two minutes of it ... then a bird flew bye.

Worth it I think ...

(I will be uploading my photos ... soon ... hope they came out .. PURRfect .. was a Grand Vacation ... this week is going to be Crazy too )

I took a nap

Getting over my cold that I've acquired

Went grocery shopping

Bought makings for lasagna, french dip, baked potatoes and salad

I'm good for a week, at least that's what I'm saying now

Tonight, I'll rent a movie and have a drink or two

It's Saturday and I'm enjoying it !!!
