Tuesdays Are Noisy

Tuesday is always a noisy one.

Starts with those trucks that roam the streets.

Some are louder than others.

It was that group today.

 

Ashton and Riley started out the day with a mew fest.

In the hall, talking away.

About what, I'm not sure.

Ashton is still in the hall.

He sang to me while bringing me a mouse.

It's in the hall with Jodie Belle's toy.

When I told him how nice it was that he brought

it to me, he blinked his eyes.

Cutest cat ever.

No, really. He is.

Just wish I could get photos of him.

He is the elusive grey striped boy.

 

Meredith Ann is napping near me.

She's been a bit sad lately.

I think because the weather is moister.

She hasn't been able to go outside in a while.

Thus, I find her in the living room.

Sitting on the rug, looking at bird tv.

Other times, she's napping in the hall.

No rug. Just wood floors.

Maybe she's getting more comfortable

with this new house of hers.

She has been here almost three years now.

 

Not much else going on.

Just the normal end of Summer

and beginning of Fall stuff.

Leaves falling.

Dogs looking at me and asking why

the warm weather has gone away.

I wish I could make it come back.

 

Just a moist Tuesday in the woods.

Only I'm at the beach place

and my photos are back home.

On the bird nest front,

Mama bird is still sitting.

No action yet.

I am a bit worried though.

On another blog, they have a nest on their porch.

Just like I do.

A baby has fallen out twice now.

Not good when I have four cats

and two dogs who go out on the deck.

(Baby cat Riley, is the only one who doesn't get to go out)

He has managed to find a way to get off the deck.

The other four haven't.

Smart or what.

They get to go out, he doesn't.

(on the main floor but second due to a basement)

The rain has gone and the warms are here.

Supposed to be in the 90's next week.

Friday Updates

~ ~ ~

Just wanted to give you an update.

I'm home. Doing fine.

On lovely pain meds.

My surgery went fine.

I got option one which is what we all hoped for.

I did have trouble during surgery with my heart.

Woke up to a crazy whirl wind of nurses and Dr's.

Spent the night in the icu heart department.

My heart beats too fast or too slow.

Of course it does ...

I'm home.

With Jasmine and my dogs.

The boys, Riley, Ashton and Al sleep at the end of the bed.

Meredith Ann has been a great visitor to me.

Even though she doesn't sleep with me.

Remember, she has her own special room.

I have my second surgery at the end of the month.

That removes my stint.

All in all, my kidney surgery went as well as I could have hoped.

Now, to mend and figure out what's wrong with my heart.

Blustery Day

Tuesday meowning having coffee in my Eeyore cup.

Listening to the garbage trucks do their business.

Dark and windy out today.

You can hear it swirl louder than the cars.

Jodie Belle is sitting near me.

Big Al is on the chair.

He got the soft blanket today.

Ashton is under the chair.

Riley is on the bird tv scratching post.

Meredith Ann spent the night on the couch.

Jasmine is still napping in the closet on the towels.

I've had trouble with both my computers lately.

They type slow. They run slow.

They stop and get stuck.

Drives a gal crazy and I don't  need any help in that area.

Made a few appointments.

Takes forever to get one made.

They either moved or don't understand the basic questions.

Like have you moved since the last time I was there.

That's kind of an easy one don't you think.

Nope, not for them. I gave up and just listened to them.

Going for a massage this meowning.

That was a task to get an appointment.

Do you do a spa or a massage therapist ?

I went with a local In Spa.

By local, I mean twenty to thirty minutes away.

Living in the woods, I can pick which direction I wish to drive.

Down this way or up that way.

Then it was what kind of massage.

I picked a Swedish sixty minute one.

Hope it helps my shoulder pain.

I've been having a lot of migraines lately.

I think this will help.

At least that's what I'm expecting.

To leave a new old lady.

Holidays, Birthdays and The Six Year Reminder

The Holidays are over.

Fun was had by all.

Just ask Riley.

Ashton tested out the new puppy bed.

He says it's ok.

Speaking of the puppy.

We get her in three days.

(January 1st)

Someone got some help opening their Birthday presents.

(My youngest turned 19 .. how did that happen !!!)

All in all it was a

WOW MEOW

kind of Holiday

and Birthday celebration !!!

Today marks my sixth year of going into my coma.

I remember it to a point.

Just bits and pieces.

Which is good I would think.

As I've said before, I was not supposed to make it.

Not through the night.

Not through the next day.

I did.

So there ...

Has my life since then been easy.

No, it has not.

Waking up and relearning to walk

was not for the bravest of the brave.

I did it.

Each day is a gift.

Each moment so precious.

I do sometimes wonder though,

on days like today,

why.

So, I'll continue on this journey.

And, hope someone doesn't figure out

that they made a mistake

six years ago.

Til they do,

I'll be enjoying every moment.

Mondays With Meredith Ann

It's Monday !!!

We went to the beach place for the weekend.

Maddy Jean sat in the back with her head

near Ashton's carrier.

He complained of dog drool.

Me, I sat up front on Mom's lap.

I'm the only kitty who gets to have their top open.

I sit so nice, most of the time.

Mom took a photo of Mr. Rainier.

It ended up being a sort of warm

sunny weekend.

When it was chilly in the meownings,

I would be sitting on my scratching bed.

Don't I look cute ?

Today Mom took Maddy Jean

into the vet for a minor surgery.

She hopes the results are ok.

With Maddy Jean being eight,

Mom worries about any minor things.

She'll know more later this afternoon.

I had a Paw fect time relaxing at the beach.

The roof is done so we traveled home.

Nothing like sitting on my old patio.

I think it's Paw fect.

Today it's cloudy and wet

but I have my memories

We'd been at the beach place for over three weeks.

Nothing like five cats and two dogs

in a car with heavy traffic.

Ashton is the one who sings the most.

Jasmine chimes in just a bit.

Meredith sits up front with me.

She's chill.

Sits up and watches traffic.

She's just a doll of a cat.

Don't tell her I said so though.)

Dance To A Theme

Here I sit, listening to the music playing.

Mr. Boatman is upstairs making selections.

On weekends, he plays songs for me.

Today, due to it being Easter and all,

there is a theme.

I get to figure out what the song

has to do with this particular Holiday.

He's doing pretty well so far.

Nothing that mentions chocolate bunnies or eggs

but there was a mention of a Southern Cross

and Mary.

No big plans for today.

Just a mini brunch thing in a while.

Eggs, waffles, fake bacon.

Oh, and for later.

 I got some dried tomato crusted Salmon patties.

And, a final note ...

It's odd

 how you look at the number

of people who follow you.

The last week or so I've added a few.

This morning I noticed that someone left.

I must work on my thrilling life.

I hope you all enjoy your eggs

Another week has flown bye.

Not to be seen again.

I still am helping Mom unpack.

She has lots of boxes and bags in the big room.

She says I don't need to go in every one.

Really, who does she think I am ...

Everyone figured out that if you sit
on the chair next to Mom,
 you get pets and a photo taken.

And, I thought I was the special kitty.

Here I am in the hallway.

What's going on ?

Mom has moved us to the beach place.

She said she was going to.

I didn't believe her.

I left behind my shelf that I lounged on.

My own private eating area.

Ashton

Now I have to share with the other cats.

I still have my own dish and water but

do I look like a sharing kind of Purr Queen ?

So far things are going ok.

A bit of hissing but no big fights.

I'm kind of shy and Mom protects me.

Maybe this new place will bring

out the brave in me.

I'm even getting along with him.

I'm sure I'll have lots to report next week.

 I have a list of things to do and get.
The move of the cats and dogs
and last minute things happened on Saturday.
 After my trip to Arizona, I was on 'Anytime' zone.
 And, Anytime was last Saturday.
 I'll be going back and forth when needed 
but for now this will be my home.
 My new life begins.)

The Purr & Fur Gang

I have birds that whistle.

The crickets sing all night.

Rain pours.

Bits of sun shines in  between.

My Golden sits on the deck.

Moist or not.

Comes in very happy.

Bella being older knows

not to sit out there too long.

Maddy Jean is still a puppy

even if she's almost eight.

Meredith Ann has been

combed a lot due to her

long furs making clumps.

I now know why they had

shaved her furs off

at the rescue place.

Jasmine has been running

around like a bunny rabbit.

Riley seems to be playing

catnip mouse all the time.

Big Al loves to nap.



Ashton mews to me as he

moves his toys around.



Oh, and coffee was really

good this morning.

Mom saw them together and got this shot.

Big Al is my oldest brother.

He's well how do you say it .. big.

Jasmine is a sweet hissy batty sister.

I hear from Mom that she's a

typical Siamese.

While these siblings of mine were

learning about photo shoots.

I was cleaning the tuna can.

Tuesday Memories

Now that I'm home

I can show you the gate

Who would want to do that ?

The Holiday weekend was

 sort of relaxing

The wind and clouds didn't make the best weather

Only a few shines of light

 made it to my world

Still managed to enjoy the quiet

 of our beach place

Nothing like it

The noise of the Holiday

 weekend did arrive

 shined in the evening skies

The wind was a wild element

My boys had a fabulous time

 during the light show

Now that we are home

He loves it so

This week will be sort of busy

I have lots to do

The weather is supposed to get

into the 90's which is
 HOT

for this part of the world

I would really just like a nice

70's with a slight breeze

kind of Summer day

but who wouldn't ...

My ducks were here.

Nothing like having coffee with those two.

Ashton & Al were snoopervising them when I walked in.

Al left after being relieved of his duties

Thus, I didn't get his photo.

He reported that all was well in

duck & bird land.

Me, I'm off in a bit to get a haircut.

Trying a new place.

Hope it's fabulous.

Just got back from getting a drive thru

Starbucks coffee.

My D wanted one & I had to drop something

Off in that same area

So, I thought

A tall lowfat vanilla latte

Hot milk

Don't think I'll get another one

Had to try it though

With this being the year

I try new things

And, get out and about

More than I have been

Wednesday Words

Ashton being cute

I slept through the night.

 Haven't done that in for EVER.

Woke up around five-ish.

The problem is I fell back.

Woke up again around 7: 30 with

 those ever popular

Flashing buzzing saws of mine.
 Got up and made coffee.

Was told I needed to drive my son ...

 who still does not

have his license

 ... to school.

 Luckily, the buzz saw part

of my head was gone.

 Now, I'm left with the fuzzies ...

I will not put my glasses on just to see the screen.

 Not yet at least.

Mr. Boatman took the tree down last night.

 So, now in my corner I have nothing.

I need to get the area cleaned.

Then, move the chair back to

 it's corner ... sunshine .. lo cal.

Baby Riley,

 who isn't a baby anymore but

that's his name and he is the youngest,

so the name sticks.
 The blue chair is his normal spot.

The chair by the way came from my Mom.

 She had two of them and I got one when she past away.

  Drape a blanket on it and it looks a bit better.

The weather has stopped.

 Rain I mean.

 Now it's just moist and trying to be foggy.

 If the sun came out that would be great.

Going to work on my list ...

 Have so much to do in this old house.

Give this away. Throw that.

 That kind of stuff.
