Foggy Friday

Ashton Rosevelt

~ ~ ~
It's been another Fall week in my woods.
Lots of fog in the mornings.
Even in the afternoons.
The leaves are everywhere.
Course being in my woods,
that's a given.

The colors are marvelous to enjoy.
I look out my back window
and that big tree
is just waiting to fly.

(by fly, I mean when
the leaves swirl around
in the air on the way
down to my yard)
All those leaves.
All those colors.
My yard really is amazing.

I was busy this week.
Doing  phone calls
and some appointments.

It was time to stop pretending
and be an adult. So, I was.

Got into my heart specialist.
I'm doing fine.
I go back in three months.
Love those ekg's.

I did dance while waiting
in my heart specialists office.

He was running late
and I'm not one for
just sitting on those chairs
and waiting. Nope, not me.

After that, I went to the imaging
department for a few rays.

My big test is next week.
Not a terrible one
but not an easy one either.
It's nuclear.
I'll say that much.

The week after that,
I get into my kidney Doctor.
I'll find out if I can keep
this lovely kidney of mine.

The purr and fur gang
have been enjoying
the warmth of a fire
or the heater vent.

It sure got cold here fast.
Been in the thirty's every day.
Warms up but still
I am not ready for this
cold stuff.

And, that is
about it for
my part of the woods.

Hope you have a fabulous
weekend and remember
to dance.

I'm glad that the heart test went well. Thank you for reminding me about fog, and colors seen through fog. I spent much of my childhood in foggy San Francisco, so foggy days were normal days. Now, here in the desert, fog is so rare. I think we've only seen it twice in the four years we've lived here.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
