Last month I had a busy birthday.
Was on the road and walked into my hotel room to this.
A bottle of nice wine, strawberries dipped in chocolate and flowers.
Made a dreary driving day into a very special birthday.
I thought, at first, that I was in the wrong room.
Other than that, my day was just a normal road trip kind of day.
(Took my son back to his University
which is five hours away from home.)
This weekend, we celebrate my birthday wish
and my husband's birthday.
(His is on Saturday.)
Another road trip but this time to the Ocean.
We have a local, three hours away, place we like.
It's not fancy.
Just a condo by the Sea.
Only two or three places to eat in town.
It's a fishing town actually.
People come to go on whale watching tours.
Me, I'm going to relax.
To watch those waves roll in.
To walk, my version of it, on the sandy beach.
To remember who I am.
The me I used to be before I got old.
Before those nasty body parts started to fail.
Oh, to be young again.
Which I plan on doing this weekend.
The weather will be nice one day.
Not the next.
I've got plans to enjoy both.
So, here's to Birthday wishes !!!
