You know it's been a wild week when you have to think,
what day is it ?
That happened to me a moment ago.
Was thinking is it Tuesday or Wednesday.
Nope, it's Thursday.
That's the kind of world I live in here in the woods.
I'm in my own world I guess.
This month I have nothing on my calender.
No appointments to stress me out.
Not like a while ago.
I did this on purpose.
I'm taking October off.
I'm sitting in my woods.
Reading a few books.
(four so far)
Watching the girls play in the yard.
There isn't much I can do about getting older.
Just look in the mirror and ask, who is that ?
Cause I'm still, mentally, that young gal.
Only reality does remind me when it can.
Not this month. Nope, it's mine.
The weather has been purrfect this late Summer and Fall.
I sit out back watching my world.
Living in the woods is marvelous for me.
I listen to the sounds.
Watch the beauty of it all.
To someone else, it would be nothing.
To me, it's my soul.
My days of sitting outside are to an end.
At least for now.
The colder cloudy days have finally arrived.
They got lost and gave me those extra sunny ones.
Not at all usual for my part of the woods.
So, with the clouds will come the rain.
I'll be inside enjoying a few things while
remembering my extended stay in the woods.
Funny how it's the simple things that bring such joy.
This getting older though, I could do without that.
