Thoughts On A Rainy Day

Big Al When It Was Sunny
It's a cold wet Wednesday.
Yucky, don't want to go outside in it kind of day.
Fall has really arrived.
Big Al has been upstairs on the soft blanket.
He comes down to visit in the meowning
but goes to take his cozy naps on his blanket.
I know, it belongs to the cats.
He and Ashton blend in so well
(it's dark brown and very fuzzy)
that I sometimes don't see them.
Two boys will look up at me
when I walk into the room.
I just say, Hello Boys
How's your day going.
They blink there eyes and ask for pets.

I've been busy looking for a new friend for Maddy Jean.
Was trying to find a rescue dog.
One that was older and liked cats and dogs.
It's really hard to find someone that fits
into what I need for my home.
I did apply for three and
someone else adopted them before I could.
So, now I'm looking at getting a collie puppy.
I know, it's not a rescue, I know.
I had collies as a child.
My first dog was named Chrissy Collie.
After that we had Lovely Lady and Shadow.

All I know is I need a friend for Maddy Jean.
I need another fur ball to wiggle and brings me toys.
If I find a rescue, then great.
If not, than I will get a collie.
Maybe I could get both.

That is my update on this rainy day.

I would of got another cat when Bob died but Lucy really is a princess and hate all other cats (she only let Bob stay because he was there before her!) Id love a dog too but we are out too much, good luck with finding another member for your family.

Perfect matches have a way of finding each other. It will happen!

Where have you been looking? We found Romeo on Craig's list. Who'd a thought that would work? Best of all (for me), he was free. He gets along with kids, cats, and other dogs. He fetches, and sits on command - but that's about it. Other than that he's pretty strong-willed. Oh, and he kisses ... a lot!

Good luck with your search.

the more the merrier :)

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
