Maddy Jean is eating !!!
I bought cans of Cesar dog food.
She loves it.
We are at the beach this weekend.
I was doing fine until I gave Maddy Jean a bone.
My girls would sit and I'd give Bella a bone first.
Since she was the oldest.
And, Maddy Jean would get hers after her sissy.
Now, I give out one bone.
Maddy Jean still waits a moment for her sissy.
It's getting better.
It is.
I went in the bathroom an bawled my eyes out.
I'm going on two weeks now .. almost.
It's just that her chair that she sat in is empty.
It's so quiet.
I didn't know she made so much noise.
It's a new life for us.
Maddy Jean and I.
We brought Meredith Ann with us.
She seems to know that I'm sad.
She's a smart one.
And, this will get better.
I know it will.
And, it was.
It's just those little things
that catch you and
you realize that your heart is not healed.
I am broken.
I am without my Dear Sweet Bella.
And, if you can't tell,
I'm still annoyed as hell at the Universe
for taking my Sweet Bella away.
(put in all sorts of words
and imagine an old lady
yelling at the world)

It's been 3 months since Sweet Praline left and I still have my crying spells. It really does get better. There will always be a hole in my heart that she left, but she also left room for my two new furbabies.
Be sure to visit Sweet Praline's blog on Monday for a "visit" of Praline's spirit when I was really down.

been thinking about cha.
our Rocky is having a hard week. I think its getting close. He still purrs like crazy & is eating, but he is starting to lose his hearing & with his sight gone, he is frightened. At least, he is so senile at times he doesnt seem to care. he's happy but i dont know for how long.
the other cats & my dogs seem to sense it and are making me mad as they started to be mean to him. why do they do that?
i also have notice Riley Girl (our BIG blue-ticked coonhound is showing her age rather a lot this summer. she is only 10, but her breed doesnt live long. she is overweight. she has allergies. and I notice she is sleeping so much more.
I think about how much it hurts & all when i lose a pet. but i wouldnt trade it for the world. the love they give me.. id rather have a few days, than none at all.
i will always have pets in my life.
love, hugs & prayers~

You are strong and I admire you for this. You have been dealt some tough blows this year, yet you go on. Time does ease the pain but you never forget your babaies. I know when my first Simba died at 18 I thought my heart was being torn out, yet exactly one week after he passed out of the woods across from our house out walk a pure bred siamese, which I named Simba II. I now have Simba III. I know his spirit lives on. Love you and tour strength. Maddie you keep eating too.
Lots of (((hugs))), purrs and universal Light from us. Those little things will catch you for a long time to come. :-/
I hold my breath everytime I take Winslow Homer to the vet, but he is hanging in. Only time will mend a broken heart, I know it is not easy, sending hugs from Maine, Julie.
Hi there Maddy Jean! Have a happy sunday.
From Cassy of How To Strum A Guitar
Many purrs and hugs from all of us.
We all know that it will get easier with time, and yet, each time a beloved dies, it hurts like hell and you can't believe it will ever stop. It has been 11 years, and sometimes, my heart stops when I see a dog like my old Lark.
