I have my coffee each morning in the den
They have their mornings in my front yard
She walks around the lawn
They sit in the driveway
She ate a bit of bird food
Stayed for over an hour
When my son opens the door
They fly away
I looked around yesterday
Checking for a nest
Nothing yet
Like I said before, I don't have water
So this is a puzzle
Makes for great Bird TV though

I hope your day is just ducky!
What a lovely pair they are! Hope you find their nesting spot!
Those ducks make for excellent kitty TV. I wonder what my furry crew would do if they ever saw a duck. :-)
There's no nearby source of water at all? Very odd! Mind you, last spring we had a pair of ducks hanging around for quite a while outside our building on campus. Lake Ontario is a short jaunt down the hill on foot, less than 10 minutes, but still, there's no nearby water. Nevertheless, they stayed around for many days before deciding to move on. I thought she might make her nest in some shrubbery here, as she'd go into it, but no.
I suppose only a duck understands its own logic. :-)
Bird TV is very popular at our house. I have a few ducks that we see that hang out but don't nest there - I always wonder if they are there to kind of get away from it all for a little while.
That's the best station to watch!
They certainly are a handsome pair. I hope Mrs Duck thinks very carefully before making a nest so far from water that the young ones can't walk there.

cluck, cluck... we would LOVE ducky spotting (we are 'twitchers'). Love Darcy and Bingley
Those ducks are really gorgeous; how fun for your kitties to have Duck TV!...I love their updates too!
Those ducks are very clever at hiding thier nests! Good luck finding it!
My own ducks are very good at hiding their nests, and they seem to prefer their nests not be too close to the water.
Our cat T.V. consists of hummingbird feeders hanging from metal lines strung from the gutters so they are in front of our living room picture window, The cats are perched on the sofa all day watching the beautiful and iridescent birds hovering while they sip their nectar.I find myself joining the cats as they watch.
A good cup of coffee shared with warm purring cats as you all watch birds together, well, a great way to start the day!Seems you are blessed.
I hope you'll keep us updated on this pair!
Thanks so much for visiting! We seem to be connected across the miles by cats, gardens, and birds. A pair of mallards nest in our wild pond each year, and come up to the bird feeders in the back yard to enjoy some corn. They're delightful. And so is your kitty crew!
We've got some great bird tv here right now. Maybe Jasmine should teleport over and watch with us!
