The Lab Results Are In

The Vet just called.

The lab results are in.

Good News ~ She got it all.

Bad News ~ Stage two.

A very bad type of cancer.

Very aggressive.

She's calling the cancer Dr. that they know.

She's going to call me back.

For now, we want her incisions to heal.

Been having trouble with one of them.

I've had her into the Vet twice since her surgery.

Was just in there this morning.

And, I am hopeful.

We have a chance.

Dam stage two.

Pet your purr and fur balls.

Maddy Jean Is Home

Update ~ Maddy Jean had a bad night which means
we were up most of the night.
She's napping now of course.
Hopefully, the worst is behind us.

I just got back with her and got her set up.

She made it through surgery.

That is what I asked her to do.

The incision is up and down and about eight inches at the least might be ten.

And, another one about four inches a bit next to it.

Had trouble with getting enough skin to stitch the incision shut.

Vet had to go back in and make that second incision which makes it so it's not as tight.

Vet took 3 cm around the tumor area and then did a bit more to be careful.

Went to the bone basically.

We will know the results in about seven days.

She looks like Lady Frankenstein but that's ok.

She might not get fur back in those areas. That's ok.

She's on three meds. Is confined in Jodie Belle's puppy cage area.

Has a lovely cone on .. we took it off for now. Will put it back on later.

For now, she has done well.

I'm tired. Having a Black Butte Porter.

Jodie is doing fine with her sister being in the cage.

Everything for now is ok.

I know which er to take her to if things happen tonight.

Which we were told might due to the extent of the removal.

We have a chance.

Which I did not get with Sweet Bella.

Prayers and Universal Whatevers Needed

Update ~ Maddy Jean is at the vet.

I'll hear how it went later this afternoon.

Nothing I can do but hope for the best.

Update ~ Maddy Jean is scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon.

Talked to the Vet doing it.

Going to be a massive surgery.

May they get it all.

My heart is a bit weary over here.

Paws and fingers crossed.

This is my Dear Sweet Maddy Jean.

This photo was taken while enjoying a dog park,

in June when the Summer was fun.

Last Friday, I took Maddy in for her check up.

They found six tumors.

We got the call late that day.

Maddy Jean has cancer.

In a bit, I will be calling to schedule

her pre surgical blood work.

Since she is nine now and might have other problems.

If that goes ok, I'll schedule her surgery.

It's a smaller tumor.

Which is good.

She has one that is gigantic.

If it had been that one, well it wouldn't be.

This cancer is nasty.

We were told if it's not stage one,

that she'll need more surgery and chemo.

At that point, we do lots of things to see how far it has spread.

Stage three .. well, not much we can do at that point.

So, if you could all say a little prayer

or just call out to the universe

to be kind to my

 Dear Sweet Maddy Jean.

I could write all day about what a nice dog she is.

She sleeps on my bed every night.

She is with me at all times.

She is my heart and my soul.

It was just one year ago in a few days,

that my Sweet Bella past away.

I simply cannot have two dogs die this close together.

So, like I said, tell everyone you know

to send out a universal

Hell No Maddy Jean won't go.
