Rain.. I hear the dance

The sound of Rain

Oh the thrill of drops

Waiting for it

It came while I was looking elsewhere

It woke me up from a sound sleep

The cats sat in the window and listened

As it danced on the driveway

Fast now

The window is open due to the Muggy Ness

I can hear the dance

Oh how I did my own dance when I knew it was here

We've had a long hot July and now that it's August

It seemed like it would be clouds and muggy

The muggies will go away ... I hope

At least I don't have to water my plants

The Rain ... it has arrived !!!

It is fairly overcast this morning and I hope we get some needed rain.

Good hope you get a really nice rain. We got rain last weekend and the humidity isn't as bad since. I was saying the same thing, no watering the plants;)

As a cat might say, "Rain is bad!"

The air has been cleaned! Hooray!!! And it will be back in the 80s by next week. It has been such a lovely summer, hasn't it?

Yes, actually it's been nice. Didn't like the 102 weather but add an ac and I'd be fine with it.

Oh, and a pool ...

It was raining all day yesterday over here so that it isn't too hot like it was.
Nice poem, JC!

It rained all night long .. woke up around 4 am to a torrential loudness ... it's sunny now though. We sure needed it ... it even smells better outside.

Hope all the plants got a good drenching. Love the smell of rain in the summer - so refreshing.

We Ballicai love your poem about the rain! We've been getting quite a bit of rain here in TN. It's been furry good for Momma and Daddy's garden!

That reads like a lovely song. We have lots of the muggies here, too. But no rain. Mom's young dogwood has the droopies.

Rain in good. We could use some around here.

That was lovely. We could use some rain down here in Texas...and some cool weather too. Except then we kitties wouldn't get to go outside 'cuz it'd be too wet (according to The Mommy). *sigh*

Hey, thanks so much for stopping by our bloggie and sharing your good thoughts for our Bugsy on his surgery today, as you know all went well and he'll be home tomorrow. We appreciate your thoughtfulness very much!

Big purrs and hugs,

Rain is what keeps Long Island so green. We all love the rain, and this summer we've had a lot to love! My garden and yours probably, has grown out of control, but I am happy that nature errs on that side, and the plants and animals love it.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
