So Many Things

It's been one of those cloudy windy muggy sort of sunny weeks.

Today, in fact, seems like it might be rather nice.

You have to remember that I live in rainy ville.

Any of that yellow stuff and I get too excited.

That crazy racing heart of mine goes oh my.

Seriously, it really does.

The thoughts of what I can do outside take over.

So many things.

 

Do I love dirt ?

Not really but so be it.

Gloves waiting in the bucket.

Yes, I have plans.

Do I have photos for you .. no.

 

Been busy this week.

My quiet world is gone.

My D got home last week.

My Son tomorrow.

(my D just graduated from her University

and my son is now a Junior at his.)

They make a lot of noise.

They take over my quiet.

I want it back .. my quiet world.

Friday In The Woods

Jodie Belle has been with us for a whole year as of January 1st.

It's another Friday in the woods.
The week was busy for me.
Appointments, phone calls and paperwork.
A few minor mini break downs
but I made it through
like I always do.

The sun peaked out a bit.
The Purr Gang loved it.
Sat in whatever spot they could find.
The Fur Gang played out back.
Rolling and smiling at me.
Yes, my rule is 40 degrees
and my girls know it.
So, out I go,
standing in that one sunny spot
with my blue sweater
and my coffee or tea in hand.
I do check to make sure it is 40
though and when they are
playing and not looking,
I go inside.
Soon there will be two faces at my door
reminding me that I went in.
Those two keep me busy.

Weekend plans are to go to the beach.
Mr. Boatman has to check on things.
Me, I'll just enjoy the views.
Maybe I'll go for a walk.
That is if the tide is out.
Sometimes I go there and it's a big lake.
Other times, I can enjoy looking for shells.

Next week is quite busy with
appointments and tests
and do this and that before my surgery.

It's not til the week after that
but they sure want to remind me
and take every test they can think of.

A weekend of no rain.
A maybe walk on the beach.
With two dogs sniffing everything.
Tea or coffee with a view.
No one reminding me of my nasty stupid kidney.
Not a bad weekend at all.

and most of all

Friday Thoughts

I have found something out.

I think I always knew deep within my soul.

Trying always to look  positive.

Waving at the parts I didn't want.

Going back to what was.

It was just a wrong thought.

I'm tired.

I took that so wrong.

Silly me.

All along I was right.

Now what to do.

Go along as if the life I had was real.

I've tried one path.

Down the other too.

Now, to plan and think.

Til then, I'll keep pretending.

Was I doing that the whole time ?

some ups and downs with my life lately.

And, as if I needed more, it has turned again.

I'm in the heal and wait and see mode.
(my soul that is)

I think I've been in that for years.

Where to go from here ..

now that is indeed the question of all questions.

The sun is out and I'm going to
take Mere for a walk in the yard.
Can I handle a glass of wine
and a cat leash and a camera ?
