While I was away on my mini vacation to Arizona,

1 ~ I went to Catholic school most of my life. Yes, I'm one of those wild girls.

2 ~ I had a pet duck named Sally. Sally was a boy.

3 ~ I thought everyone had short French Grandma's. (Mom was adopted and I'm tall)

4 ~ I grew up camping. I still like to go once a year. Tent.

5 ~ I'm a paying member of DAR. (Dodge of Kansas were in the Revolutionary War)

6 ~ I'm a not paying member of Delta Delta Delta. (They don't kick you out if you don't pay)

7 ~ My first dog was named ... Cinders George Popeye Carpenter ... yes, I helped name him.

8 ~ I'm very shy...still am. That's what the wine at the party is for ... right ?

9 ~ My middle name is Ann. My sister got to name me ... after Annette Funicello. I bet you don't have that story do you ?

I Did It ... Gave out my Life is Grand Awards

Life Is Grand Award

Cheri at Cats of Wildcat Woods gave me this award in April and I am now going to give this award to the Grand blogs that I have chosen. Each of you are Grand in my Eyes. Course I'm part Siamese so my eyes are a bit slanted at times.

1. My cats and dogs that give me such joy in life.

2. I wake up each meowning and I can walk and talk and feel most parts of my old body. Remember, I was in a coma and there were times when I couldn't do some those.

3. The Sky. I just love to look at it. The clouds, the sun, the planes, everything about it. I am fasinated by it and always will be.

4. Nature. I live in the woods and I am surrounded by it. Love the birds, flowers, grass, hills, even the weeds.

5. My true friends and my family ... ok, that's 5 and 6 but I slipped that in. I'll blame it on my slanted Siamese eyes.

My First Award

Yesterday, I received my first blog award. I was thrilled. Shocked even. Why me?
I simply love the blog that decided to bless me with the honor.
I’ve only been blogging for a short while. Been looking up great blogs to follow. All that beginner … oh, I like that one and that was ok ... wonderment. I melt when I find a blog that combines my love of cats, gardening and writing. If there’s a photo of the Ocean, I’m walking that sandy path with them. They simple invite me in and I just can’t close that screen door. I have to look into their world if only for a moment.
Now, I need to nominate five blogs to give the lovely Grand Honor to … I am thinking about that and will be doing that soon …
