No Photos Just Rain

~ ~ ~
It's a quiet morning.
No street noise.
Just the birds and cats
making the woods
sound like home.

I've been gone for a few days.
To the beach place.
I call it that but it's not the Ocean.

It's on an inlet.
Waves only roll in
if the wind is visiting.
Which it does a lot
over at that place.
It is nice though
in the Summer.

When it's a hot day
and no one came to
visit our small inlet.
Not in the Winter though.
Just a drippy windy place.

I'm glad to be back
in my mossy wet woods.
My cats are running
up and down the stairs
and around the kitchen
into the living room
and back up the stairs.
I guess it's what you
do on a messy wet Winter day
if you are a cat who lives
in the woods but
inside with your Mom.

Me,
I'm fine.
Figuring out what
I want to do
with the rest
of my old lady life.
That kind of stuff.

Also, the photo shop
has decided to laugh at me.
The main puter died.
Literally, went up in smoke.
Mr. Boatman has replaced
it with a new one.
Being a puter nerd,
he is replacing each part
just the way he wants.

Anyway, what I mean
is that I lost a lot of
the things I liked.
And, I mean a lot.
So, no photos.
No saved things.

Just rain
and birds that are wet
to look at.
And, a very wet Collie
just went up the stairs
and I know where she
is going.
My bed.

I need some of that yellow
stuff to show up.
Who doesn't though.
Then, we will all complain
that it's too hot.

Got to go
cats, dogs
It never stops over here.
Just the way I like it.

Sorry you lost so much data on your old computer. If you google free cloud storage you'll find a lot of places that you can store your photos and data files too for free.

Send that rain down here, please! We've *already* started our wildfires here (and it's only mid-February!).

thanks for your kind words on my blog. I know what you mean about the great outdoors. I love Nature too, but am a bit of a fair weather girl. Take care. Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx

Our rain turned to ice as soon as it hit the streets..

Bummer about losing all those photos and wonderful stuff from the old computer!!! At least you are still here, and that is a good thing!!!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
