I've been snowed in for days now.
Power was out.
Back now but cable and phone are still out.
We had an ice storm that froze the seven inches of snow that I had.
Starting to melt today.
My H has his phone getting me cable for now.
Trees down everywhere in my yard.
We are getting the chain saw out today.
Frozen Icy snow everywhere.

(The Seattle area doesn't get these
kinds of Snow and Ice Storms.
Living in the woods was scary
with all the trees cracking with
the weight of the ice.
We were lucky though.
No damage to any of the fence.
The trees that fell on the truck didn't do damage.)

Oh, wow. Ugh. Brings back memories of our Ice Storm of 1998. We were lucky, though, only out of power for 5 days. Scary time, though. Many in this area and other parts of eastern Ontario and into Quebec were without power for weeks, so you have my sympathies.

Glad you are all OK! We had a winter like this in 09 and again 10 but this year you are getting it all.

Mother Nature can be harsh at times but at least things are beginning to return to normal for you.

We had the wet stuff with wind and lightening today. Glad you have power back.
Hi, JC! The last time we had an ice storm we lost the one tree on our back yard - a long needled pine. It fell on the power line that serviced next door; Luckily that house was empty at the time. But it was not fun keeping three outside kitties in the house while there was a live wire in the yard for a week. They were not happy.. Was that in 1998? May well have been.
This one is thawing much too slow for me, though. I'm glad the tree that landed on your truck did not damage it. You were lucky.
Storms can be SO bad! We are just getting light snow right now and I am happy with that!
