Isn't That Silly

I've been busy.
Haven't had time to blog.
What's gone wrong with my world ?
My son is getting ready for college.
Imagine my living room full of things
you would take to a dorm room.
Also, add a few boxes for the cats to play in.

Got back from a long weekend at the beach place.
Had to get my son in gear.
I think he thinks he's got another month to get ready.
Nope, we take him this Sunday.
Doesn't that seem early to you ?
A week before for Freshmen Welcome.
I know what that means.
Had to find a pet sitter.
My old one quit doing it.
Had one lined up and I gave up on them.
Who doesn't answer someone back
to let them know if they can do it ?
Seriously ...
Now I have a new one lined up.
Had to fill out lots of paperwork on line.
All just to have someone make sure my Purr Gang has water.

Anyway, that's what's been going on.
Add in a bit of some sort of something going around
and well, I'm tired and busy
and my 'to do' list is a mile and a half long.

Oh, I got Bella's ashes back yesterday.
I didn't cry.
I did tell her welcome home though.
I'm doing much better now.

Still feeding Maddy Jean the canned food.
She seems to ge enjoying it.
There was a get ten cans for eight dollars special.
I think, whatever makes her happy, is worth it.
Hope to get a Mondays With Meredith Ann
done early and send it out.
If not, imagine me in wheat land again.

This is a very tired, very busy, old cat lady
saying pet those Purr & Fur Balls.

Don't forget to stop for a moment
and look up at those clouds.
I know my Bella is up there smiling at me.
I sense her in almost everything I do.
Isn't that silly,

College starts early there! Here the kids come back at the beginning of September, with frosh week coming right after Labour Day. Classes usually start the second full week of September, this year the 12th. Already our campus seems a bit busier, though. Good luck to your son...and to you!

I'm glad for you that Bella's ashes are home and hope it brings you a measure of peace, of rightness.

Oddly, having Annie's ashes at home isn't a comfort to me. I feel it's a paltry few grains, so sad that that's all that's left of such a large presence in my life. I don't have Chumley's ashes, though probably would if I could go back in time for a redo. Really, I just wish I had *more* of him, though. A wee bit of fur and some pics isn't much for his grand presence.

No matter what, it's still so hard.

Good luck with the new pet sitter. I hope she (presumably a woman) works out well.

Yep, you're plenty busy. I know the Bella cloud is watching over all of us.

We are glad to hear that Bella is back with you, where she belongs. Pawhugs. Oliver, Ruby and Miss Rose

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
