Sweet Bella

This is the last photo taken of my Sweet Bella.
She was chilling out on her chair.
And, yes it was hers.
Actually any place she wanted to sit become hers.

It's been a hard couple of days.
Reality is setting in.

I'm still really mad at the universe
for taking away this lovely lady.

I wasn't ready.
I just took her in for what I thought was
an old lady 'hound dog' eye infection.
Some ointment for and maybe some blood work
because she was so tired.

Ends up my Sweet Bella
had a huge tumor that caused
internal bleeding.
By the time I got her to the vet,
it was too late.
They could not operate.
I had to let her sleep.

I'd been telling her to not be in a hurry.
To just fall a sleep.
She did do almost that.

I think my Bella stayed with me
as long as she could.
She didn't want to leave.
She loved life so much.

Damn I miss her.

The worst is on Maddy Jean.
She's looking for her in the yard.
Waiting for her to go outside.
I'm going with her everywhere.
Out in the rain I go.
Always telling her that sissy is sleeping.
And she is.
I hope Maddy Jean gets used to this.
Her best friend is gone.
My dog is sad.
I'm sad.

And, that is my Thursday Update.
I will survive this.
Maddy Jean will too.
It's just hard.
My heart is broken.
My dog is dead.

I'm so, so sorry, more than words ever will express. I can't even see the screen properly, I'm crying so hard.

I know there is nothing to write that will ease your pain--oh, how I know this. But please be assured that you're being sent Love and Light for Peace and Strength.

Condolences to you. There's no pain worse than a wounded heart. We get better after a while but the sad thing is, the heart stays wounded. I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bella! I know the pain that you are going through and how it can be so overwhelming. I still have some of those days, but it does get a little easier. In fact, I was talking to Auntie Deb today on the phone and started crying about Praline again right after laughing about the Truffle and Beignet. My thoughts are with you.

Oh, JC, I am so sorry about your beautiful Bella. My AAB got sad reading about her; she lost her little house-pet-cat Trey suddenly a few weeks ago. But we animals are lucky for the relatively short times we get to spend with "owners" like you. Purrs for you.

Oh JC...tears fill my eyes.
love to you.
love to sweet Maddie JEan.
im so sorry dear...
Bella will always be with you in your heart.
my husband never had a pet before meeting me. when we loss our sweet Tanda, that was his first loss...he about died. swore he'd never go through this again and that he did not ever want to have a pet again. once i explained that the love they give...the gift they bring is so valuable, even if we only have them briefly, is worth the sorrow when they leave us. that what they have to give is a love like no other. that God shares them with us to make us better. he eventually caved (at the time we loss Tanda, we had another 2 cats & 2 dogs). In 25 years of marriage we have seen many pets enter, and leave our lives. it doesnt get easier. sometimes we get so made when one has a short life. but, i love them each as much as possible, give them the best lives i can and cherish ever precious moment. My Rocky is 18...he is senile, blind, and has difficulty walking. he seems to have a minimal amount of discomfort, but.. still has a good appetite, and purrs ever so sweetly as he is very happy & content. I fear that day is coming soon.. every day i cherish & spoil his old butt. but, i feel so blessed that he wandered to our door so many years ago choosing us to be his people. i am so grateful. and will love him forever. just like the many before and the several i currently have.
sorry this got so long. i just had to extend my love.
blessings~

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
