Sitting In The Back

Sitting in the back
I would see
Blending and Shifting
I'd try to figure
Where they would go
Never could
Still can't
~ ~
Now that I'm older
I wish
 I was still
sitting in the back
Life is always
 changing
like that window
of my youth

Sometimes, it's nice not to be the center of attention.

That is really nice; I get the essence that it's not fun growing up at times and well, you'd rather be a kid!
I really enjoyed that!

I like this! When a child I safefully sat at the back - now I am happy sitting at the front. It will come to you!

definitely a cat person - dogs like to sit up front and direct the traffic ...

I sometimes think I'd like a back seat in my life, with someone else driving, all responsibilty for the direction in someone else's hands - bliss! but then I surface again and take control! Much better! Nice poem

I really like that! Thanks for sharing. As to your comment on my blog -- that is what Beth would do if she could catch them. There are many that pass through....don't stay long and are gone. Wish whoever had the first ones would have had them spayed....poor cats....

Relatable, especially for those of who, because of strong opinions, find ourselves as the unintentional lightning rod for 'controversial' viewpoints - in this day and age, it's increasingly dangerous.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
