The view from my hotel in Phoenix. We stayed here the night before we flew home. I had a view of their baseball field. |
The fog has arrived.
Blocking the blue skies that I woke to.
(it's been rainy for most of the month
so blue skies are quite a thrill)
I hope it rolls away.
I can't see a thing.
Noises I do hear.
Have to go outside to see what they are.
A big barge was moving along the waters.
The house two down was having
their bulkhead fixed.
Living on the water for a week now
has taken a few adjustments.
I feel isolated and by myself.
This is what I actually wanted.
Peace.
Quiet.
Well, maybe next week
when my neighbors
construction jobs are finished.
Til then, I will enjoy
the beauty that is fog
and the possibilities it may bring.
and the possibilities it may bring.

It's a talent to find the peace and quiet even with construction going on: Well Done and enjoy the water!
I love all the animals on your blog and the voice and support you are giving them here. I believe in many ways we are kindred spirits :)
It's so vital when the world is going crazy around us to find that peace and solitude within. Your writing is very descriptive and lovely...thanks for sharing!
So you are adjusting to life at the beach house? And the furgang is doing well?
I have been so ridiculously busy! I am taking a break tonight (I ran away from home) will blog about it so you can 'come along'
Love you!
Living on the water has its drawback, but it must have way more pluses. Construction is going on in my neighborhood, too. I keep wondering why anyone would build another big home with so many in foreclosure.
Hi Evfurrybody! Thanks for dropping by the other day! We look forward to getting to know yoo! from Oliver (and Ruby!)
Thank you for this post. I spent some of my earliest years in San Francisco and your words brought back the feeling of thick, sound-muffling fog.
