Path To My Soul

You all know that feeling.
The windows are rolled down.
Your arms hanging out.
Bare feet up.
Singing to that old song.
Nothing but brush and hills
on the roadside.
A stream following you on your way.
One can imagine
a day of fishing by those trees.
As we turn that corner,
we know it's just up the road.
Nothing but trails and sun.
A path to find the way to the
soul we left behind.

~ JC ~

(I imagined the drive on the way to Bryce Canyon.
 The dryness of the trails.
There's a creek that follows on your way.
In the middle of no where.
And then, the gorgeous park and it's
beauty shows up like it was waiting just for you.
You and hundreds of others
who made reservations in advance.
But, that's another story ...)

Sometimes we travel a long way before we realise a part of our soul is in another place.

I love the path to your soul. I sounds heavenly. Side note: I too am a big animal lover. I have adopted 5 all rescue adoptions! They are the most wonderful pets to adopt.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
