I get up early.
Make coffee.
Sit by the puter and look.
I see the lights outside.
What's remaining of them.
The tree is shining at me.
I am content.
The shopping is almost done.
Not really but
I don't think I want to do much more.
I think less is more this year.
Maybe a few stocking stuffers.
Cookies are made.
Peanut butter with kisses.
Candy canes with stripes.
Bird nests with chocolate centers.
Cards are waiting to be opened.
On the Eve or the day.
I wait to read and see what
I've gotten from my Cat Lover's group.
They are a great bunch of gals.
It brings me so much joy.
The actual day will be busy in the morning.
Relaxed the rest of the day.
Just the way I like it.
As I get older,
I enjoy the lights and spirit of the season.
I think that is my gift.
That and a dog or cat by my side.

Well, here I am, having made coffee, sitting by the computer, and watching the sunrise from behind the mountains. So many things the same...
Bless your Bella. I look at our older animals and am always so happy to think they have lived such long and peaceful lives with us (except for all our moves, but we are settled down now for good). Your love has been a wonderful gift to her always.

That is a great pic of Meredith! How do you get her to show off her pretty furs? If I take a pic of Layla or Mush you can't see anything but a dark spot!!!

Yes, I have a Cat Lover's Group. I am the Mom Kitty. We've known each other for almost ten years. We mew at each other about our cats and life. We vent about most everything. We send Cat cards to each other too.
