In Memory of My Niece, Jasmine

My friend LeAnn has recently lost
 her beloved Siamese cat, Jasmine.
I can't even tell you how sad this makes me.
LeAnn started blogging and got me interested.
She named her cat after my Jasmine.
That and her daughter liked Princess Jasmine.
I wanted you all to go to her blog.
See what she said about her loss.
We all know what it's like to love
We all know what it's like to
have that mean Rainbow Bridge visit us
LeAnn is a grand friend
A kind soul
Always taking care of others
Today, if you don't mind
Go over and visit her
She needs a hug
And, even though I didn't know
I miss her too ...

Isn't it strange how we can know those we've never met? I'll go visit the blog right now. What a beautiful girl that Jasmine was.

I met LeAnn on another site. We've known each other for almost ten years now. We talk almost every day. I feel like she is a long distance cousin of mine.

She loves cats. Jasmine had to go outside. She always came home though. I so know how that is. My Lilly Ann (profile photo) was my indoor / outdoor cat. She HAD to go out. For 7 years she did that. Sat in the azalea in the front yard. One night she did not come in. I haven't let anyone else out since. We later heard that a coyotee family had moved in. And, we have racoons too. Now, as my blog posted .. we have bears.

Anyway, LeAnn gave Jasmine the best life she could have had. She loved that cat and Jasmine loved her back.

I felt like she was my niece ... I called her that ... and I miss her.

I'm sorry I never got to pet her ... but, just hearing about her was like I was there.

So, please do go over to LeAnn's site ... read all about her ... it's worth it ... cause she was a wonderful Siamese.

We are all very sorry to hear about Jasmine. Soft, soothing purrs to her heart-broken family.

Thank you for adding to Patches to your list of cats that need a home. You gave us the idea to add it to our sidebar, which we will go do right now.

The ideal answer

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
