Two Tails On A Deck

The rain let up a bit so, on Saturday
we drove to the beach house
The grass was over two feet tall
Mr. Boatman mowed the front lawn
While my teenage son mowed the back
I enjoyed the nice day

So, did Meredith Ann & Maddy Jean
I don't get them in the same photo often
Of course, it rained the next morning
And, has for several days
Today is nice though
And, I get to mow the lawn at this house
When it dries out

The owls were flying around last night
Really amazing to see
I got a shot of one that was in my yard
Seriously a close up
I was talking to it

What's going on in your neck of the woods?

That is great to get both in one picture and the cool owl picture! And wow, 2 ft tall - I can't imagine trying to mow that!! I hope your mowing goes easier!

They had the back wheels on the ground and tilted the front of the mower up. Thus, cutting a bit of it the first time. Took hrs and hrs to to get the lawns mowed. H had put fertilizer on the lawn and then you add almost three weeks of rain ... I just watched. Usually I will help but not with that mess. I told him he should bring a goat next time ...

I love your owl! I haven't even heard any hooting near my farm this spring.

Mowing is my least favorite chore. I always put it off until the grass looks terribly.

Lots of rain here too. Love your owl photo. I have an owl residing in a pine tree outside my bedroom window. Every night he starts in with the "hoots" thats all well and good, but it riles up my "girls", alas nobody is receiving much sleep around here....

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
