Fur & Feathers On Friday

Three of the birds I enjoyed coffee with this meowning
Bella being cute
Jasmine got her box back

I woke to the sound of rain
I actually like the sound
I leave my window cracked
and listen to the birds sing
and tell the girls the weather report
each meowning as I let them out back
My girls are always so cute
Get so excited to go outside
When they come in they eat
Never seen any two so thrilled about dry food

My world seems a bit better
I've thought about it all
Nothing I can do but relax if I can
What will happen will happen
It's just by this age I thought things
would be Purrfect
Ya know what I mean

So, I will try not to stress
Think calm thoughts
What's the worst that can happen ?
Don't even want to know

So, today I enjoy my coffee
While the birds sing
My girls snooze near by
My world is good
if you don't think about things
too much which would be what
I was doing yesterday

I run a bit nervous
Always have
Now, I need to run with
What's going on today
This moment

So, today will be fine
I've decided that
Tomorrow will be too

How about you ?

It would be nice if things could go smoothly with no problems at a certain age. I guess it's how we deal with the trials. It sounds like you're enjoying the rain, birds and your kitties. Those things always help. :)

Never ask, "What's the worst that can happen?" LOL.

I used to think I'd reach a certain age, too, and life would be smooth. Life has other ideas. :-)

Nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the ride as best we can.

Now, to follow my own advice....

We can only live in the moment, as hard as that is to do....I always seem to get by better when I do that. Have a fun weekend, my friend.

Don't worry about what might happen...because equally it might now. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Happy a wonderfully calm weekend!

Lovely collage and lovely thoughts about enjoying the moment=sometimes hard to do, but worth the effort...I understand questioning how you got where you are in life: I'm 44 and often wonder how I got to this place in regards to certain aspects of my life (divorce, not remarried after 10 years), but I look around and realize that while some parts of my life are lacking, others are abundant with love and joy and happiness...I try not to dwell on living alone with my cats; I hope to one day find a man who will be kind and gentle and accepting of life as I strive to be=tall order!!...For now, I have my cats, my parents, family and friends that love me, so my life is rich with many wonderful things...I make a constant effort to concentrate on the positive and it helps me to live in gratitude, for love, health=the really important stuff...It's easy to get sad about what is missing though...Hope you have a happy weekend...Kiss your beautiful babies for me!

Well like I say "if we didn't have bad luck we would have no luck" More rain again today, but not as heavy, somethings are coming up, sunflowers elephant ears. Still haven't walked to the garden today, I did yesterday in sneakers and they got soaked, so barn boots today. Yes I have a 25 yr. old goose, and canadians, in a few days I hope to be getting some white muscovy ducks, I will let Gertie decide which ones she wants from my neighbor. She will keep the rest. She needs her male white duck, this wil be #4. I am not crazy about mornings but I love the sounds in the evening.

I worked on a black and white drawing of things found in nature today, with a friend of mine. She painted a pastoral scene of cows in a glen. We took the time out of busy lives to do art works together, and all was calm. Turn off the t.v. take out art supplies and just have fun. No judgments here, it's just hobby art for me. She's more serious. I'm older and know that all art is good for you and your health.

I really relate to many of the sentiments in your poem, I am always nervous and thinking far too much, I find it so hard to just get on and do things without getting bogged-down in negative thoughts, as I get older they threaten to take over. You are so right to decide that the days will be fine, and to live in the moment. xx

Always try to be calm. getting in a flap is not really good exercise. Do you know how many times I have told myself that, today?

Everyday Goddess ~ Thank You for the award. I posted it on my side bar.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
