That Old Saying ...

Monday With Meredith Ann

It's another Monday in the woods
Today it's Meredith Ann
who invites you into our world

That old saying ~
Just reach out and touch some birdies
Don't ya know it ...

Our weekend was quiet
It rained a lot
Birds sang
Owls hooted

After Meredith Ann stopped viewing bird tv
She went upstairs and took a nap
by the heater vent
One of her favorite places to be
It blows her fur
And, makes this Torie very happy

Meredith Ann, perhaps you are hoping for a birdie for lunch? :-)

We've never seen an owl, even our human has only seen a few in real life (as opposed to biped TV). How marvellous it must be to listen to their hooting!

Our weekend has been glorious--sunny and warm--a long weekend here in Canada, the official start of cottage and tourist season. (Today is Victoria Day.) Our human has been repainting her bedroom since Friday afternoon, doing all sorts of work in the house, but of course we Cats have the better life and have been snoozing in our little garden, blissfully oblivious that our slave...assistant...might need traction from all her efforts. Heh. (Just kidding! She's hobbling, but she's still upright!)

Have a lovely Monday...We hope you have sunny skies today. :-)

Yowza - look at those nails! I can only imagine what she'd do if she were let loose outside!

Does she scratch your windows?

if only it were that easy - we would be reaching out ALOT! Bing sits with his mouth open in case a birdie flies in (well you never know - pigs might fly). Love Darcy and Bingley xx

Miss Meredith Ann likes the heater vent as much as my Miss Paisley's so cute to see them on top of the vent on cold winter days.Today it was so-o-o HOT ..
30C and Miss P. cools off sleeping on the air conditioning vent!=^.^=
We need your much!!!

Meredith Ann, we know how you feel reaching for those birdies and not quite getting them!

I watch bird t.v. too. Right now we have red headed woodpeckers, Baltimore Orioles, starlings, cardinals, mourning doves, mocking birds, robins, sparrows, and even a gray catbird!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
