Feathers On Friday

Feathers On Friday

I finally got a few photos of my American Gold Finch
They have been visiting the last week or so
They may have been eating with me for a while
Just noticed how yellow they had become this week

I also caught a photo of them with a male house finch
I love how they get
This one is slightly red
I have some that are really red

And, speaking of feathers
My two ducks have not been around
for two days now
Maybe she talked him into a place
with a water view
Was nice to have them around
if only during their
Romance in the Woods
part of their courtship

Cats & Dogs are all napping
I have plans to work in my yard
So the girls ... Maddy Jean & Bella ..
will be out back with me this afternoon.
My yard has been taken over by the woods
and my plan is to take it back.

I just found out yesterday
that Mother's Day is this weekend

So, a Very Merry Happy Almost Mother's Day
to all you Cat, Dog, Duck, Lamb, Horse or Human Mom's
May you have a lovely day

I plan on working in the yard
I asked my son ... who did his ... oh yeah ..
Happy Mother's Day Mom ... routine ..
thinking that that was all he needed to do
Oh No ... I told him to clean up his room.
And, maybe help in the yard ...
We will see what he actually does.

My D who is away at college
Well, if she would just stop breaking things
that would be nice.
(she broke her ankle last week)

For all of you who were wondering
Today's breakfast was an organic banana

And, I'm off ...

Wow, you are so lucky to have such colorful birds around. We have lots of little brown and big black and then the ducks, but nothing with a real pretty color!

We hope that your daughters ankle heals up quick!

Have a great weekend!

Great cat TV. The new tube is working just great!

And is your daughter Nicole? who left that lovely comment yesterday? I hope she heals quickly.

JC said...

Yes, Nicole is my daughter who is away at college. At Cornell in New York actually.

She broke her ankle in two places last week. Was running and fell in a pot hole of all things.

She sent me flowers yesterday.

My American Gold Finch are very cute. They sing and chase each other around.

My yard must be the place for romance.

Happy Mother's Day to you JC. You are such a wonderful mother to all your furry and feathered friends. Don't beat yourself up as far as your weight is concerned. Most of us have all been there at one time or another, you are not alone. Hang in there.

Organic bananas sound healthy. What would inorganic bananas be like?

Our birds around here are mostly grey and brown! Wish we could see some yellow! Very cute!!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
