What's on your table ?

This is the book I have at my beach place.
Not that I'm reading a lot of it
but at least I've looked at a bit.
I always forget to bring what I'm enjoying.
Thus, the one moment of what will I do with all this rain.
And, there it is sitting on the table.
Waiting for me.
Just a moment curled up on the couch.
Tea or coffee near by
A cat and two dogs
Quiet
Peace
Then, Mr. Boatman makes noises
The lovely thoughts of others
Gets put away
To be picked up next time

And, that's what I do at the beach
on rainy days

I probably shouldn't say this...but there is fur on our table.

Sounds like a great day. Hmmmm, what's on our tables? Well the side table by where mom sits is Woman's Day mag, the coffee table has Wren's coloring books and Princess stuff, and we can't lie...fur and dust. Mom does her cleanings on Saturdays.

sounds like an excellent way to spend the day.

Being at the beach, even on a rainy day, sounds wonderful.

On my table? My unfinished tax return. The Canadian deadline is April 30th, so I have time yet. :-)

Also "Getting to Maybe," a book I recently purchased, and a couple of issues of Style at Home, a Canadian home decor magazine.

Well there is usually felt, a kitten, and some plates needing to be put away on our table! But on holiday I do take books, I have just read 'The Lovely Bones' while we were away but could have done with something a little more cheerful! xx

That's sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day: reading on a rainy day at the beach. I'm currently reading a myster/thriller. Not quite as intellectual looking as your book!

Mom Barb here. I grew up living directly across the street from the beach, but oddly my favorite vacation is the lake, hands down. It is always more restful to me. However, it is hard to beat the sound of the waves rolling in and out on a summer's eve.

On my desk? I just finished The Lovely Bones, and next up is The Lost Symbol.

Of course, there are lots of parts catalogs for my business... Not great reading material by anybody's standards, but it's a living!

That lookos like a great book! Mommy loves the beach. Also, she does indeed use a furminator on uSSSSS!

Thanks for visiting.

The phone, a lamp, a camera, pens, a notebook and a framed photo of my girls from Christmas...I'd rather be at the beach!!

We would sleep on the rainy days. Our Meowm would probably go ahead and go out there since we don't live near the beach.

And we don't have a table to put things on.....unless you count Meowms desk. then of course, we have the computer, printer, phone, answering machine and, yep, fur.

Oh and Meowm says you got it right again. That is the Queen Mary. And Meowm wishes she could go to Disney World and see how it stacks up against Disneyland.

I had to move the table to make room for more cat toys!! ;)

Meowllo!

What's on "her" table??? Zoe, my sisfur. Does that count?

It has been raining here today. I luff the rainy days every once in a while - it provides me a nice break to sit and watch the frogs. They come out of the pond when it rains. I guess they are taking a shower in the raindrops. I sit under the cover of the porch. It has been a nice day.

Purrs and head bonkers.

I'm with Brian, there's fur on our table too. We can't keep anything there, it'll just wind up on the floor.

Nice way to spend a day at the beach house, relaxing, reading.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
