was the day I started blogging.
She was so funny.
I thought I'd give it a try.

My title was due to my love of Lilacs & Cats.
I love dogs and horses too but settled on those two.
I've started taking photos.
Got a new camera.

Asked for Photoshop which I would never have done.
Met so many kind, gentle souls on the blogging world.
Tried to be funny and soulful in my posts.
Written about my bad days
and the joys of my good ones.

Almost have 100 followers which is amazing.
Not sure if they read what I write
but it's still incredible.

Changed the look of my blog several times.
Learned how to change my html ... sort of.
Didn't even know what that was last year.
Am in awe of the fabulous things

I'm enjoying tea with a few molasses cookies. Nothing like it ... on a cloudy wet day.
Who am I ? Well, I'm JC. I am a survivor .. of many things that life has thrown at me.
Here's a bit about me ~ I am a 50ish lady from the cloudy state of WA. It's rainy here. I live in the woods & feed birds. My cats love the bird tv that I have created ... just for them. They used to go outside but due to coyotes ... they are now indoor only putty tats.
I do not work. I run a chauffeur business .. driving my teenage son to & from school & where ever else he needs to be. He has his permit so now I am training him to be my future chauffeur.
I have 4 purrfect cats & 2 big dogs.
I have a few health issues ... a few ... who's kidding who ... I'm a wreck & only Captain Jack would find me viable. I'll get into more details about that in a few.

BTW, 50-ish does not equate with "old lady!" Gosh, I thought you must be 70+ from reading that. LOL.
I'll be 46 soon and while I consider myself firmly in "middle age," I have a few decades to go before I'm an "old lady." 50 is the new 40 and all that. :-)

Yea!!! I am always so proud that I inspired you to do this wonderful blog! I always enjoy reading and seeing your pictures. I got photoshop awhile back too but haven't done much with it. Riley is SUCH a helper! Tonight I have Chanel 'helping' me. Currently she is trying very hard to bite my toes off. She is not listening to me when I ask her nicely to STOP THAT!!! She is such a booger!

I am so happy to meet you - loved today's post and esp loved the NOSE picture! as you can tell from my blog, FB page and profile pic i love kitty noses! I'm new to this blogging thing (august '09) and i haven't ventured into the world of photoshop yet! but i agree i've met wonderful people through it but there are times it's tough to see about and see the harm that comes to animals in this country/world.

Congratulations blogging for a year. I forgot to note that anniversary for my blog. You are a better woman than I am because I can only find the time to blog once a week if at that. But what really is wonderful about blogging, is that the blogs never go away. I got a note from someone in Canada about one of the first blogs that I ever did, a year ago. She Googled something about applesauce sieves and came up with my blog. I had an extra one and sent it to her. Can you believe it? It's wonderful network. What a perfect network to spread joy!

My husband has been bugging me to start a blog since I love reading blogs. But who has the time. We have 3 boys (all under the age of 7). I really do enjoy reading them too. Its just nice to read peoples thoughts and life experiences. Its like reading "Chicken Soup".
