Dancing In Place

When the chimes started clanging, I knew that the wild Summer weather had arrived. The leaves from the trees were fluttering. The bird feeder was banging back and forth against the magnolia. I looked out the kitchen window to see what the noise was about. It was too warm for rain. No clouds to see. Only ripples in the water below. I walked out on the deck and that's when I felt it. The strength of the wind startled me. I gathered a few things off the deck and opening the door, I blew in.  Sitting down, I  looked out the kitchen window. It pulled you in with it's commotion. I noticed all the boats swinging from side to side. Their buoys holding them in place. They were lined up and swaying like a Saturday night. As I turned away from the show, I knew I didn't need to worry. We had put in a mooring block and our boat was laughing while it danced.

Dancing in place is a lovely description for boats at anchor in a wind!

In my mind's eye, I could see you blowing in from the deck and the boat dancing. Very descriptive use of words.

I like this a lot - loads of images and wonderful energy. There's something about certain winds that create electricity - you captured that! Well done.

I like that the boat was laughing while it danced!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
