When the chimes started clanging, I knew that the wild Summer weather had arrived. The leaves from the trees were fluttering. The bird feeder was banging back and forth against the magnolia. I looked out the kitchen window to see what the noise was about. It was too warm for rain. No clouds to see. Only ripples in the water below. I walked out on the deck and that's when I felt it. The strength of the wind startled me. I gathered a few things off the deck and opening the door, I blew in. Sitting down, I looked out the kitchen window. It pulled you in with it's commotion. I noticed all the boats swinging from side to side. Their buoys holding them in place. They were lined up and swaying like a Saturday night. As I turned away from the show, I knew I didn't need to worry. We had put in a mooring block and our boat was laughing while it danced.

Dancing in place is a lovely description for boats at anchor in a wind!
That was very good - I could totally picture it in my mind.
A lovely description of the wind...you have a great way with words...I love the "laughing dancing boats".
In my mind's eye, I could see you blowing in from the deck and the boat dancing. Very descriptive use of words.
I love your descriptions. I feel like I am right there.
I did like that 'laughing dancing boats' line. I think this is my first time to visit. I am loving this Magpie project.

I like this a lot - loads of images and wonderful energy. There's something about certain winds that create electricity - you captured that! Well done.
I liked the "lined up and swaying like a Saturday night."
Nicely written.
I like that the boat was laughing while it danced!
