Can I admit that I love the high fat, high cholesterol breakfast foods? I don't eat them all the time, but certainly would, every day, if I could! In fact, I prefer to eat a large breakfast, a moderate lunch, and a small supper.
Technically, I gave up coffee last August, but recently have been drinking a skinny capp in the mornings, no artificial sweeteners, just a bit of Stevia that I add.
Like Kea, I love the high fat breakfast foods too, but I don't eat it all the time. During the week, I usually have Cheerios and a banana and always coffee. I love the cinnamon raisin bagels!
I've been known to eat a banana too ...
Love going on vacations, when I get to go out for breakfast. I usually will order some sort of eggs and bacon with wheat toast.
Don't do that often though ...
Well, 4 days a week it is oatmeal (maple&brown sugar or cinnamon roll flavor) and green tea (right now green tea with pomegranate) but once a week I splurge and go to Jamba Juice on my way to work (usually a reward for lasting all week), and get a power protein berry workout with soy and usually either an energy or immunity boost.
I love the high fat stuff too but I don't have them often - usually because oatmeal is quicker!
Never have been much for breakfast since way back in jr. high. Now my usual breakfast consists of two cups of coffee, with splenda and french vanilla creamer. My daily vitimin, biotin, and osteo-biflex pills. On the weekend when my hub. makes his breakfasrt he will make two sausage patties for me which I have with a slice of toast.
I usually have toast with jelly. However, I am attempting to start having some cereal or oatmeal.
And coffee....oove it, but with high blood pressure, I am trying to quit.

Breakfast here is usually a whole wheat bagel.......occasionally I splurge and have something not as healthy.....like a breakfast taco (egg, bacon and cheese) or a kalache....love them both and would love to have them every morning....but..... :)
Well we eat raw food, because we are cats. But our Mom usually has oatmeal & coffee for breakfast.

My favorite breakfast foods are biscuits and gravy or omelets but I only have that on the weekends. Usually just coffee first thing in the morning. A little later a Slimfast or bowl of cereal. I am trying to make myself start eating oatmeal but I'm not having a very successful time with it.
I yearn for the days where I started out with a beer and pizza.
I made some bread at home this weekend, t was a bit more like a pumpernickel that a whole wheat, but still yummy.
I'm a smoothie girl, 9 days of 10 it's my homemade all fruit smoothies with maybe some greens thrown in, always some flax seed meal. But... I did make some cranberry flax seed walnut waffles and froze them for easy toastin' and eatin' - might I just say YUM!
When we splurge, we love ham, eggs and breakfast potatoes.
I do eat cereal every morning but would love to find something different. That cranberry granola looks really good. I will have to see if I can find some of that.
I love bagels too but they have to be slathered in cream cheese. I found something called Special K bars, peach or strawberry that are pretty good.

JC~ I have that coffee cup! In fact I have 14 different colors of the Fiesta dinnerware! Great minds think alike. Fiestaware, Cats,Shelter pets, Coffee, Blogs... What a cool person you are! :)
As soon as I get up, I have water and my "not with food" pills (thyroid and vitamins), serve the cat food and walk the dogs. After serving the dog food (with plain yogurt), I make my herbal tea and cereal. Some Kellogs Just Right, Fibre First (my daughters used to refer to it as twigs), dry oatmeal (the cooked stuff tastes like warm glue...), sunflower seeds and hemp seeds. I am still missing the pomegranite seeds I enjoyed at Christmas. That and my "with food" pills (antidepressant and calcium).
But I would do bacon and eggs and toast, if I had that much energy and thought my cholesterol could take it...
No matter what I have for breakfast, I could not start my day without my morning coffee. Coffee is truly a gift from the Gods. :-)
