Wednesday Words

Bella is doing fine.
Not in too much pain now.
Still has to go out back with her leash on.
Maddy Jean gets too excited.
 We now have a routine.
We let Maddy out first.
When she's done
we put her in the laundry room.
 She thinks she's going somewhere.
Not to worry it's a
sort of big laundry room.
I take Bella outside on her leash flashlight in hand.
She can't do her business close to the house.
No, we walk, or hobble on three legs,
to the side yard and visit
the azaleas by the fence.
At least now I know why it takes
her so long to come back in the
house in the morning.
Then, breakfast ..
oh and I let Maddy Jean out of her room and back
outside cause she thinks she's going somewhere.
It's been almost a week and
my Dear Golden hasn't caught on yet.
Do you think I can keep this up for eight weeks ?

Meds are next.
 Bella loves them.
 NOT ...
it's either cheese surprize or down the hatch I go.

Made her appt for her stitches to be removed.
 Won't that be fun.

I've been a bit under the weather the last few days.
Let's just say it's one of my
many things that can go wrong with me.

So, I will blog with you all when
I'm back to my crabby cheery self ...
If You don't hear from me
I'm in the backyard with Bella...

when nugget had his surgery he was on meds 4x's per day. he was in such pain on the way home from columbus ohio...it was awful. he whimpered...i cried. i know what you are going thru. did they give you that 'dog lift' thing? it helps so much with stairs and the limping. you might consider puttin a long scarf under his hips with both ends up and gently lift to help with stairs if you have any...prayers to you and your baby!

Take care. Glad Bella is in recovery. We are keeping you & your fur babies in our thoughts.

We have Bella gated downstairs. She has the kitchen. So only two steps off the deck to the yard.

We have lots of steps to go upstairs and lots of them at the beach house. That's where the trouble will come in.

We want to go to the beach for T Day and don't know if we will be able due to Bella.

What I meant to say is that Bella has most of the downstairs but not the area by the door which leads upstairs.

She's only today started to put her foot on the ground.

And, she was a disaster coming home .. crying or as we call her Moana Lee (an actress from my Mom's days) ... she's so much better now though but those first two days were bad.

Bella has such sad eyes. I sure hope she's feeling better soon. I'm not a dog person, but I want to gather Bella up on my bed, with the electric blanket on, and say "Bella, come nap with me. Come lay down and feel better for awhile."

Glad to hear that Bella is doing better!! My neighbour is also doing the dog on leash thing every couple of hours, but that is because Buddy is 13 weeks old. I am so glad that I am between those two stages of doggie life!!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Tough enough nursing a healing doggie back to health when you do feel well.

I'm very glad to hear she's doing so well though. And that she'll still fall for the cheese surprise pill. Mine eat the cheese and spit out the pill. hmph.

Bella is a sweet baby. I know she's thanking you for all you do for her--even if it's no fun. Prayers and purrs to you.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
