A Boy and His Toy Mousie
On this overcast Wednesday morning, I was thinking ..
What's my version of a catnip mousie ?
What's my version of a catnip mousie ?
I do enjoy a great cup of coffee in the morning.
Add in my lowfat .. of course .. vanilla powdered creamer.
Wa La ... delic ..

I also enjoy a great old song from my younger years.
This morning on my drive to take my teenage son to school ..
who still does not have his license ...
and that's a good thing for the rest of the world ..
on the old red truck radio came
a Peter Frampton song.

My son ... are you ready for this ... asked .. who's that ?
Oh Dear Mother .... fill in the blanks ... that poor teenage boy had to hear all about him ... all the while ...
his 50 something Mom was trying to sing along.

i <3 catnip too in the morning ;)
Well, WE have to say The 'Nip for us...
But mom, it's a snowy day with a fire going in the fireplace, and just a day packed with cooking! She has been letting the little bean help her withthe cooking lately and we have to say we love this too, because we always get to "sample" what she's making!
How funny. There's a young guy at work who just discovered Led Zeplin, Frampton, the Eagles... all the bands of my younger days. He was blown away, such music existed and he had no idea.
Love me some good ol' "classic" Rock
He had a really nice smile didn't he! My oldest has discovered that she loves Boston and of course the Beatles. My hubby likes the Doobie bros. I liked a few of their songs too, but not all.
Coffee is great, opening the door (screen still shut) to let morning breezes in, checking in on other cat friend's blogs...and of course classic rock is the best! Jack likes to go out and Baby likes to jump on and off the lap.

My sister just saw Journey at our local fair.
That by itself is pretty danged sad.
She played the cd in the car all the time! We had fun. Our girls-- not so much!
We aren't really getting older! We are still RAD!!!

Oh God, I love Peter Frampton. One of my faves in High School. Saw him in concert in 1977.
Oh won't you show me the way.....yeah baby!
I would have to say having a cup of coffee in the morning with my mom. She lives 500 miles away, so I don't get to see her very often. Any time I am home, I make sure to wake up extra early. I love those early morning chats over coffee.
How fun! My catnip mouse would be writing in the early morning before anyone gets up.
Meg the Mom
When I was in school there was no escaping the "Frampton Comes Alive" album.
I can't remember ever throwing myself into something like cats do with their toys. I do get minimally excited about a good book;)

Marnie ~ I used to LOVE to read a book. That was before my kids ... now I read when I have time. Kids are older now but so am I. LOL
A latte takes me to my happy place. Catnip takes my fur babies to theirs. : )
