I just got done adding music to my blog
I had SO MUCH FUN
I have to thank
She was sharing blog secrets
To be playing
And, now I do
Plus a few other songs too
I went to High School in the early 70's
Yes, I'm an old lady now but Man did I have fun
And, I went to college & joined a sorority
Line Danced to the Doobie Brothers
Just the Way I was
Which I needed to hear after my
Major college love broke my heart
Brandy made me feel like it was ok that
the guy I liked didn't like me
cause I could go on ... just like she did
who doesn't love her song
Friends ... That's what I had
After the said boy ... and he was
I see that now
Anyway, they got me through
Joe told me the same thing
I just heard him yesterday
So, when I figured out how to do this
I had to add him
I have to tell you .. I am a Rock & Roll Gal
Mr. Boatman was in a band when I met him
I had no idea he was a Nerdy Guy
Getting his Masters Degree
I just knew that he played guitar
In a Rock & Roll band
(no they didn't play much longer but
it sure was fun on weekends)
I'm sure I'll change these around
A Bit with time but my favorite song
The one that I fell in love with in
Junior High & again in college is
Your Song by Elton John
Damn Life Is Good ...

I forgot to mention WAR.
It was the Summer between 7th & 8th grade. My friend, Patti & I were waiting for her Mom to come out of the store.
War came on the radio. We sang & danced to it like teenage girls do.
It was Summer ... we were cool ... it was a fabulous time. So, I had to put that on the list. I also just heard 'it' while driving.
I'm just an old Rock & Roll Gal ...
(not to worry .. I wasn't really cool ... just thought I was for a moment or two)
OMG, Billy Joel told me that too!!!!
(Flicking on a bic lighter and waving it)
Nice post, it made me smile.
What a fantabulastic post!!! Mom's a H~U~G~E fan of The Doors. She thinks Jim Morrison is yummy (is she a secret cannibal? We don't know...) Plus, her and our Dad's wedding song was Thank You by Led Zeppelin. They even had a Halloween wedding!!! Yeah, our folks are kooky!
Isn't is fun how we identify certain music with events in our lives. I look back and see songs woven thru the fabric of my days.

I know and love all those songs too (I graduated high school in 1976)....from one oldie but goodie to another ;)
JC, Billy Joel's, Just the Way You Are was my wedding song!
Hi JC~ This is such a neat post! I love the song ~Brandy~! I have it on 45. Thanks for always leaving such sweet comments on my blog! Also, thanks for signing up for my giveaway. Have a wonderful weekend! ~Mandy (Love your new blog header.)
Oh man, I related to every one of those songs! I keep telling my daughter, how would be a Dead Head if they were still alive, that the Doobie Brothers were one of the best of the best. High school in the 70's rocked!
I LOVE all the songs you have talked about. I'm a rock n roll gal right there with you.
Me too, me too. I so relate music to where I was and who I was with at that time. I love all the music you've talked about so far, love me some Elton, some Billy Joel, really love me some James Taylor! I've always been a music kind of gal.
