Wrinkles In Time

I'm an old wrinkled lady

Just had to get that out there

Now, what to do about it ?

I've tried every face and eye cream out there
Well, not every one but the ones I've bought so far
I go to my local drug store and get Neutrogena
At Macy's I've purchased Clinque
I've most recently tried Lancome

I still have wrinkles
Eyes are my real problem
Face too if you look in a mirror
Which I have to do due to my old eyes

I've gone on the net and found all sorts of reviews and prices
I paid a lot for the Lancome Face and Eye Cream
It felt nice but I don't see any improvement
I'm not doing surgery
Today I bought from my local drugstore ... again

I bought Neutrogena's Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Moisture Night

I also bought Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Serum

And, I also bought Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Deep Wrinkle Eye

I am expecting MIRACLES here ...
I'll let you know if this one works ...
What do use ?

My mom sells Avon and there's a wrinkle cream on there that my aunt SWEARS by. I'll find out the name and get it back to you! Good luck on your quest...

It will be interesting to see if one works really well. I am a real challenge for any wrinkle cream since I spend too much time outside in the sun.

I don’t know if you have wrinkles but I know that you have beautiful smile and a gentle glance. That is what I see when I look at your photo. Yet I wish those creams work really well just for your sake. But if they don’t work as you have expected, please don’t be sad. :-)

We think you look pawsome, JC! We can't wait to read your review.... our mom is always looking for miracle creams! She really likes clinique all about eyes rich!

Hi JC,

Had not noticed wrinkles just that you have a lovely face and a gorgeous smile.

Think good food and enough fluids and lots of laughter plus good sleep are very good
for you.
Love,
Herrad

Oh I know all about the wrinkles!!! I have been using Avotone. My mom gave me a gift of it at Christmas and I like it. If I am spelling it right the website would be www.avotone.com

My problem is not so much about wrinkles as it is about ripples!! Can't wait to hear what you find out, though.

As a retired children's librarian, I have to say that I LOVE your post title...

I use Rephechage eye gel a.m. and p.m. I also use Clean and Clear moisturizing lotion a.m. and p.m. I also think you skin wrinkles or no wrinkles has something to do with your genes. I'm 50 and I have 1 tiny crow's foot at the corner of each eye no other wrinkles. My Mom is the same way at 72 and my grandmother (God rest her sole) passed away at 85 with no crow's feet or wrinkles!

I just don't look in the mirror.

JC, I think that Sherri is right. Genes... Sometimes, just for fun, I use coconut oil (grocery store, big jar $6)for my face and hands. It feels so good... My sister uses it for her hair and loves it! It stimulates hair growth, that is why they don't recommend to use it on regular basis for a face.

First of all wrinkles have probably something to do with heredity. Try to wear sunglasses and hats. I do not use creams, but I try to go to the beach later on in the afternoon. I garden a lot, so I wear hats and sunglasses then too. So what if wrinkles show up. Don't they indicate that we have had experiences and that we know something at this point? I also drink a lot of water, take vitamin C and E twice a day as well as Calcium Citrate. Maybe they help too. You have a wonderful face. Forget about the wrinkles!

I use the Oil of Olay age defying cream. My mom told me that I needed to start using it the day I turned 25. Nice of her!

It is in the genes! So don't fight it. I am 54 and so-far-so-good. Just a few laugh lines. I only use yardly oatmeal and almond soap. Then I exfoliate, and use a mixture of rubbing alcohol either orange or menthol and witch hazel. That's it for all these years. And I am a sunbaby too. Do not even use a cream, makes my skin to greasy. DAr

I use dermalogica gel cleanser. EXPENSIVE, but you only need a drop and my skin feels super clean.

I have just started using loreal derma genesis range. Using a serum, and then the moisturiser helps to get soft soft skin.

I try to avoid the sun on my face and wear big sunglasses and a hat if I have to be out there. Ohh and a good sunblock.

But, at 40 I know my wrinkles are coming!!

first, stay out the sun, period. second, get something with retinoids. go to an upscale spa that does facials, etc. they should have what you need. put the retinoid cream on at night. the over the counter stuff isn't as strong...so bite bullet and buy the good stuff if you want to see changes. and use sunscreen with zinc daily...again, available at the upscale spa. if you really want to see results, get a jessner (i think i am using the right word) peel. haven't done that yet but will in the fall when the sun is not as strong. they can spot peel if the pricing is too high. i have spots on the side of my forehead that are agespots that will be gone by winter! ;>) i wear a hat and use sunscreen but my sun sins of the past have made their appearance already!

Deep dark secret. . . (not any more), I got a "Titan" laser treatment that stimulates collagen production deep in the dermal layers and softens wrinkles. The problem is that you can't use it in the eye area. And I've had good luck using the Suzanne Somers FaceMaster (you can find it online at a discount). You have to use it religiously every day, but it does make a difference. You can use that around the eye socket.

Meri ~ I saw her info mercial and almost bought that ... she looks fab for being in her ... I think ... 60's now

I got a lot of wrinkles after my coma. My right side is worse than my left but my whole right side is worse in general.

I like the neurtogena so far ... the Lancome didn't seem to do anything and it cost in the almost 100 range.

I've done clinque for years but as I said, I'm in a new older lady with fine wrinkles ... zone ... now.

I'm going to be 53 and looking for something other than surgery.

Thanks for letting me know what you use ... I will look into all of them ... when the heat cools down a bit.

101 here yesterday and we do not have ac ...

I don't see your wrinkles, JC, just a lovely smile. I use a daily moisturizer, mainly to combat dryness. I've got a couple of wrinkles, but I figure I've earned them. :-)

I had a friend who used Oil of Olay (the original formula) - she was 19 at the time - which I thought was odd. She said "You should start using it when you're young." I didn't really see the need but fell in love with the scent. I have been using it off and on for 32 years. I owe Patty a lot of THANKS :)

JC, if you find something that works...please, let me know. Mine aren't toooo bad yet, but it's just a matter of time. Glad you wrote on this...some interesting suggestions above.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
