The Lilac bush is my back yard has two possibilities.
Maybe it's because I've started this blog.
Maybe it's just cause Nature wants me to actually have Lilacs that bloom.
Either way, I was so excited that I got the camera and walked out
to my disastrous back yard which is filled
with weeds and stickers...black berry pokee things.
Rhody and Golden Retriever and old swing set.
I also took pics of my two Rhody's ... cause I was out there
and I was in the mood to shoot the lovely blooms.

Bet the lilacs smell amazing!
I like it when nature takes a little wild turn sometimes. Your backyard looks pretty to me :)
My lilacs are gone. They only lasted a week. Did you bring in a bunch to enjoy inside?
Rhododendrons are something I can't grow here but wish I could. They are so lovely.

Hi JC! Lovely photos! I have a lilac tree in the front, it hasn't bloomed yet, I'm waiting eagerly!
The two in the back yard rarely bloom. Too many trees to over shadow them.
The two at the beach house that were eaten by the deer, they are in the sun and are doing better.
I took photos of them and will post those later .. as in alligator ...
I love a good lilac bush/tree? and wish I had some in my yard...
Lilacs are the state flower for New Hampshire, where we lived before moving to New Mexico. I remember driving through a little town there during lilac time and the whole evening was perfumed with their fragrance.
I was very pleased to discover that lilacs do well here on the High Plains of eastern New Mexico. The one I planted hasn't bloomed yet, but I have high hopes!
Thank you for this lovely post. I could swear I could smell those flowers as I scrolled down through your photos.
Our yard is wild too - too much rain and no chance to garden! Glad to see your lilacs and rhodies!
Lovely! I'm so glad you got some lilac blooms. I know they're your favorite.
Our little lilacs are still too small, no blooms this year me thinks. But I do have the low growing bush ones in honor of you.
Oh lilacs, one of my favourite flowers...I can smell them already.
Thanks for sharing and visitng my blog.
Blessings and smiles
Those lilacs are beautiful. My lilacs bloomed back in March. And the rhodendrons are pretty too. Some folks grow them here, but they need special care to survive in our heat.
I'm thinking of moving to Oregon to get to a cooler climate. How do you like the PNW climate?
I've lived here my whole life. The rain is crazy but on a nice day we are gorgeous.
I live near the Seattle area.
