This isn't me but this is what it looked like.

My big kidney test was this morning.
I got up early.
Started to drink my water.
They had called me the day before and said lots of liquids.
I drove the almost hour to the hospital.
Had time to wait in line for a cranberry and orange scone.
Just love this time of year.
I checked in and had a few bites before they called my name.
Had my lovely wrist band checked.
This procedure requires you to be admitted.
Was walked to the nuclear medicine part of the hospital.
Got my lovely iv without too much trouble.
I'm not an easy find.
Was asked all sorts of questions.
Had most of the answers.
Went to my test area.
The goal was to last as long as I could.
The monitor was where I could see my two kidneys.
Or rather, the one kidney and the other smaller thing in the picture.
Was asked if I wanted music.
Anyone who knows me knows what I said.
And, there I was for almost half an hour.
Watching little dots go in and out of my kidneys.
All the while, wondering how much longer I could last.
As it was, I did better than last time.
No big problems.
I do wonder who lasts the whole time.
This test is for kidney function.
If you're having troubles, who could hold it for 45 minutes.
They shoot something in you.
Then something else.
Then some more.
Had to stay a bit after due to almost passing out.
When don't I do that ?
Was told it should all be out of my system in a day,
if I drink a lot of liquids.
Thought I'd just sit for a bit.
Drove home after a while.
And, those results will be told to me next week.
There you go. The life of someone in kidney failure.
Just a regular day .. I'm glad that's over.
Since it's almost Halloween,
I thought I'd turn off all the lights tonight,
and see if I glow in the dark.
Pet those fur balls and purrs to everyone who isn't feeling well.
