Don't tell me it's that time again.

Crawling out into the cold.

Wait for me.

Walking those stairs to the dark.

Let me go first.

Turn the lights on.

Who got up this early ?

It's wet out.

When isn't it ?

Coffee .. where are you ?

Today I write about getting

up so early with my

Dear Jodie Belle.

I Wait For You

I wait for you to return.

Left me you did.

I was walking.

The wind blew me away.

I looked back and no where could you be found.

Somedays I see you and hope.

Only it's not you.

It's the memories that I have.

Making me think of what was.

 I am here.

Waiting for the sun.

The dreams I have are good.

Only when I wake,

it's a bit cold.

Meowning Coffee

~ ~ ~
In the light of the new day, she wakes.

Noises from downstairs make her wonder.

She looks at the clock and gets up,

saying hello to her furry friends along the way.

After letting her dog out, she opens the cabinet

and gets out the bag that holds her beans.

Grinds and adds the water so it can brew.

She looks out the window to see if her pup is ready.

Not yet.

She leans against the counter, waiting.

Opens the other cabinet door, to get her mug.

Which one will it be today.

The old one with the cats on it or the snowmen.

It's been getting colder.

After picking her cup, she puts in her vanilla creamer,

Stirs and walks to the door.

Nope not yet.

Towards the hall she goes.

And, just as she sits in her comfy chair

to take that second sip of coffee,

she hears a bark.

Of course she's ready now.
