Life Goes On

What a cutie !!!

Life goes on over here in the woods.
Each day we make it through.
We go out back and it's too quiet.
She was just such a presence in our lives.
Jodie Belle is ok.
As ok as you can be with losing your sissy.
Jodie doesn't play.
She just sits by me.
We've been looking at rescue dogs.
Not sure we want to bring one into our cat world.
It's hard to find the purrfect
dog to fit into this cat and one dog world
that we have created over here.
I'll update you if we do get another fur ball.
Til we do, it's just me and Jodie.
In the back yard, reading a book.
I'd  be the one doing that.
Jodie will be exploring the woods.
A chip monk did entertain her
for most of the day.
Nothing like chit chatting
with the wilds of the woods.

Hope your world is doing fine.
Nothing like losing a loved one
to make you realize how precious
our days are.

Til Next Time.
JC and Meredith Ann

She is napping on the desk.
I've moved the key board
so that I'm typing sideways.
The mouse has a fluffy tail on it.
What I do over here.
I tell ya ...

Purrs to all of you !!!

I remember being struck, when Chumley died so suddenly 7.5 years ago, how life DOES go on, even when you feel it all should stop. Because it certainly has stopped (in some ways) when you are grieving.

I think if you do decide to adopt again, and find the right dog, Maddy Jean will have had a paw or two in it.

But it's okay if you choose not to. I think all the time, every day, that this will be it for me, my heart and stress level can't take another companion Being.

But then, who's to say how I'll feel when I come to that.

Purrs from the boys.

When you lose a beloved pet life changes for ever. It does go on, but differently. Some days are much harder than others, but precious memories gathered over the years help us to cope with them. My thoughts are with you.

I can concur with Fuzzy Tales, except I still feel "stuck" and even though life goes on, it goes on methodically not happily as it once did. Or maybe I just remember it that way and it wasn't the case. But should you decide to open heart and home again it will work itself out and just follow your heart and it will lead you down the path it needs to go.

Still thinking of you!! The sharp edges are starting to smooth out now, but it will always be an empty place in your heart...

We seem to adjust our activities to accommodate our pets. Why not just get another cat? I have a little dog, Molly and terrorizes my main coon. But he gives it back to her when he's had enough. I dictate this so please enjoy your day and excuse the couple of errors I see.

My sympathies very sincerely. - I had a similar post when our Longfellow passed away. It's always so hard, but 2 lost souls were sent my way since then. My thoughts are with you, and whenever I feel shy to dance, I think of your words. Often. Thank you.

We wanted to come over here and thank you for your visit to our blog and for your condolences for our woofie friend, Doc. It means a lot to us, and we miss him very much.

It sounds like you are also dealing with the loss of a beloved furry friend. We are so very sorry and send comforting purrs your way.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
