Dance In The Rain

It's been a relaxing week.

Just life and it's journey.

Plans for this long weekend ~
Go shopping for cat litter.
(I know how to have fun don't I)

At the beach, that's a seven mile drive
just to get to the gas station.
Another four or five
to get to the grocery store.
So, it's a plan where and what
kind of trip.

I don't go into town every day.
I make a list
and go when I need something.
Today, is one of those days.

The rain started last night.
Is going to be a wet day.
Was nice the last two though.
I sat on the deck
in my rocking chair.
Read my book.

Maddy Jean is fine.
She naps a lot.
I've said that before.
Only now it's more.
She ate most meals this week.
She just looks so tired.
A bit like me.

Jodie is getting used to this.
Her sister being tired.
She now plays by herself
or with me.
She knows her sister
isn't able to join her.
Kind of sad really.

Right now I'm watching the water drip
onto my purple and red hanging basket.
It's peaceful.
The rain, the basket, this place.

So, for today
things will be fine.
Me and Maddy Jean.
We are on a day by day
moment by moment
kind of life.

It's working for us.

Had a bit of a scare
when my heart
went wild on me.
What a reminder that was.

I like pretending.
Maddy Jean and Me.
I think I'll do that
just a bit more.

Pretend that we are fine.
That makes me think
it's time to go
dance in the rain.

Mew at you all later,
JC

Pretending is good. Denial works too, when necessary. :-)

Have a lovely day dancing in the rain...It's raining here too!

Peace.

I always wondered how to catch a cat...
I know what you mean about planning trips - when you don't have a car, you do it the same way...
Enjoy the hectic pace of your life!!!

Our city shelter has that poster up in the cat area!

As for moment to moment, really, I think that's best anyway. :-)

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
