The King and I

The King and I

I've been busy over here in my woods.
Enjoying the rain and the birds singing.
Spring has arrived.
There are a few hopes of it.
Still too cold to do any yard work though.
The girls, Maddy Jean and Jodie Belle, want me to join them.
I try but unless there is some sun, I go in the house fast.
The days where I can sit and enjoy the day, are coming.
Meredith Ann has been asking to go out.
She looks at me and I say no
but I tell her soon.
Not much going on over here in my woods.
Just the beginnings of Spring.
I really love this quiet world of mine.
Just wish the rain and cold would go away.
I'm so ready for the warmer days.
So is Meredith Ann.

The photo was taken in front of one of our Maui hotels.
They had a resort map showing that you could find
all of the sculptures. This one was hidden at the
front entrance and we walked all around the
resort looking for it. When we did find it,
I was like, we have to have a photo.

We really like the photo, you look great!

We're so ready for spring and are still waiting, though at least we had rain last night, not snow.

Spring is lurking but not ready to visit yet..

Spring is coming...the weather is so changeable her. First we get rain, then freezing rain, then a bit of snow and more rain. Keeps the cats entertained, though :)

I am SO ready for warmer weather. You at least got a taste of it while in Hawaii; I suppose that makes the rain all that much harder to take.

Oh, we would so trade in our concrete jungle in a minute for your woods! Enjoy!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
