Tea, A Good Book and My List

Flowers from my back yard
~ ~ ~
The rains have arrived.
Lots of them.
Birds are singing though.
I sort of knew the warm days would go away soon.
That's why I sit outside a lot with the girls reading my latest book.
It sure was a nice Summer.
Minus the heart problems of course.

I am like usual a week behind.
I had no idea it was almost September.
How did that happen ?

Made a list of things to do around this old house in the woods.
Since I'd spent so much time at the beach place
 *mostly on weekends*
I now have to figure out what needs to be done at this place.
The list is huge, long, pages.
I hope to get a few of these done myself.
Might have to pay someone to help me with the yard work.
Old fence needs repairs, boards need to be redone,
 things taken away.
Like the swing set. Yes, it still sits in the back yard.
When your youngest is about to turn twenty one,
I think it's time to get it taken away.
Where do they take old wooden play sets ?

Cats and dogs are fine.
Jodie has been barking at someone in the woods.
She's pretty serious about it.
I have no idea who it is.
Deer, owl or squirrel.
Maddy Jean is getting older.
You can tell by her eyes.
I know how she feels.
We old ladies watch Jodie run around.

I hope to get a lot done today.
My list, as I said, is long.
With the rain, it's an indoor day.

Tea, a good book and my list.

I'd focus on the tea and book and forget the list. :-)

I've heard that old playground sets sometimes (often?) are donated to developing countries. Because they aren't safe enough for children in North America anymore (the old ones), but they ARE safe enough for children in other parts of the world. (Rolling my eyes here.)

I second Kim's suggestion - the book and tea sound good to me!

I think we need to make a list of all of our lists! Just have the tea and watch the critters! Hugs from all of us.

Enjoy the tea and book. Let the list percolate for a while and prioritize itself.

Too bad we're not closer--my mom needs stuff to do and could help! You'd think she'd spend more time playing with us, but no.

(P.S. Loved Fuzzy Tales' comment.)

Ah, to sit with you and the girls, if only for a while.

Yup, I approve of the tea and the book - the list not so much!! I am relaxing before another week of school!
Glad you are feeling better, though!!!

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
