Friday Meowning In The Woods

Maddy Jean and Jodie Belle
Taken last Summer at our beach place.
Sorry about me in the background.
I had discovered I was recording
instead of just taking a photo.
Swearing is my middle name.
It's the Catholic girl in me. lol

~ ~ ~
It's still cold.
Very.
I slept through the night.
First time in forever.
At least it seems that way.
Woke up to cars driving.
I can hear the road through my woods.
It's a welcome sound.
Means that it didn't snow.

Maddy Jean is better.
She seems brighter mentally.
Moving around better.
Not as lost as she was yesterday.
What a relief.
Maybe it's just old dog body.
Oh, wouldn't that be nice.
You know what I mean.

Having my coffee in my multi cat cup
that I got when I went to Winthrop
last Summer.

Jodie Belle is going in and out.
Barking.
Me going back and forth.
Telling her not to.

It's what I do each morning.

So, this weekend I will be thinking
about what the next steps are for
my Dear Sweet Golden.

How did she get old ?
Where did the time go ?

I was thinking about age yesterday.
The fact that I can do nothing about anything.
Really.
I can only bring hope for a better day.
That Maddy Jean will improve.
That the universe will do the right thing.

Sometimes I do feel at a loss over here.
Like no matter what I do, bad things happen anyway.
Then, I shake my head.
Nope. Not me.
I will always be the one who thinks that after a nap
things will look different.
That there is hope.
And, if there comes a time when hope doesn't cover it,
then I will still hope that days like that are rare.

It's just who I am.

Enjoy and remember to dance and smile and dream.

You mean the world does not really get better after a nap?!! I thought it did!! Or maybe I just get better...
Hang in there!! Every morning you wake up is a bonus, although there are some when I wonder why I say that...

.. it is always wonderful visiting you. Love Darcy, Bingley and Helen xxx

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
