Someone Told Me

Someone told me that Winter was the worst.
Leaving what was and walking behind.
Not looking back or to the side.
When I hear about the new,
I think of what I did.
I can do nothing now.
Visiting the past can hurt
and  heal but still
I know what was and still is.

( I haven't written in a while.
Not that what I do would be called writing.
The color red reminded me of
my heart and what I have done
and what I cannot do.
I watch now and hope
that what I did was ok.)

The Collage Pirate

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
