Garbage Day

Tuesday is garbage day around my parts of the woods.
That is just about right.
Went to the big gas station to get my big savings.
Everything went wrong.
And, I mean card wise, number wise and gas wise.
The numbers that had to put in were mind boggling.
The questions were a blur.
The gas burped at me. Literally it did.
When I was done I drove away and didn't look back.
I don't normally go there but I had a huge savings
that had to be done by the end of the month.
Thus, I waited in line with the angry gas savers.
It's a bit scary over at that gas station.
I  don't seem to be able to find a time when it's normal.
By normal, I mean not ten cars waiting for a pump.

I usually go to the station by the donut store.
You know the one by the car wash and picture frame store.
Ok, so you have it mentally now where I usually go.
So, you understand how casual that one is in comparison
to the angry busy one I went to today.

I figure I'm lucky to have come out of there without battle scars.
Did I get my big savings .. nope.
Somehow I pushed the wrong buttons
and ended up with the small savings instead.
Wasn't worth the time to get there or the maddening crowds.
I drove home to my woods and thought
I'm not going there again.
Well, maybe I will but not for a long while.

My garbage and recycling cans were waiting for me.
I walked them down my driveway
and thought how much I like my woods.
I really am a nature gal.
A stay away from the crazy world that doesn't need to be mine.
Oh, I go out when I need too but this saving gas
and hoping someone doesn't kill the other
for their spot in line ... not for me.
As far as I'm concerned,
it's a bunch of garbage.

(It's about time for me to take
Jodie
out for her walk.
We get the mail and she learns about noises.
Also, sit and come with those noises
is not easy for a four month old.)

JC with the prices of gas these days one really wants to take advantage of savings! My sweet hubby does the replenishing..yes I'm a kept woman I would agree.
I am not comfortable with the gas stations here in AZ and leave that task up to the Man! :)
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comforting comment re: passing of my daughter's pet Kea.
Golden Labs are such people dogs..I cherish the memories of her. Have a peaceful day in your house in the quiet woods. hugs

totally with you on this one... it must be lovely to have woods... and be so close to Nature. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
