I've ended up getting the flu.
At least I think that's what it is.
Fevers are no fun at my age.
I already am an old lady
and add in sleeping most of the day
well, the dog wasn't totally happy with me.
She did enjoy herself for a while though.
End of the bed with her Golden legs up in the air.
A Siamese nurse napping near by.
She sat with me for a long time.
Like she knew I needed her love.
Today, I'm up a bit.
Still running a fever but I hope
this silly being sick stuff is on
it way out of town.
And, no I didn't get the flu shot.
I know ... everyone else in my
family did.

The boys send their purrs, that you'll be better soon!
I never get the flu shot. It covers only approx. 50% of the flu strains, so it's hit and miss.
Companion-animal therapy is good. That and a lot of sleep. Try piling on the clothes and bed covers and sweating it out, if you can. Seriously. Moms everywhere used to do that with sick kids, and it works!
Don't beat yourself up, I got the flu shot and I've still been in bed for the last SIX days!!! I hope we are both better soon :-)
Those Siamese nurses are the very best kind. Feel better soon!
Beth here....sorry to hear you've been sick with that flu. Mike just had it too. Lasted SO long -- fever too! AND he had a flu shot! Hope you are feeling better soon! Take care, my friend!
Sporry you're not well. Take it easy and enjoy the furries company.
Hope you are feeling better very soon - sending a {{hug}} across the pond!

we all send love and purrs in equal amounts. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
I hope you are feeling better soon. As for the flu shot, I wouldn't regret not having it too much. Several people where I work received it, and they have been the only ones to get sick. One poor woman has gotten the shot three years running, followed by the flu, three years running. It's good to have the pets rally round when you are sick. Medicine that comes in fur is better than that from a bottle.
I hope you are feeling better very soon. One thing that always helps me is snuggling with my cats as I recover from illness. Their purring and warmth seem to hasten my healing, and the comfort they give is priceless. ( well, maybe it comes with the price of cat food!)
Ugh. I hope you feel better soon.
