Something that I didn't know til later in my life.

I started wishing for it.

Needing it to quiet me to sleep.

I guess I knew what it was

only it was called something different.

The wiser I got,

the more the world taught me.

It was not real.

It was just for me.

The thoughts of what could be.

The moments I needed to be peaced.

The times I was wild with fear.

That is when I needed it most.

And, as time has gone on,

I do it every day.

It's a ritual for me.

It calms me.

It makes me get up and continue on.
