Last week I ventured out
to a cute neighborhood cafe.
Got coffee and a lavender cupcake.
Drove to a small hidden park
to enjoy my delic dessert.
I don't usually get out and about
but on this almost sunny day,
I did.
Where ?
Coffee and breakfast ~ Hi Spot Cafe
Cupcake ~ Cupcake Royale in Madrona
Park ~ Lakeview Park, Seattle
Hi Spot Cafe is about a block away
from the Madrona Cupcake Royale.
First we found a parking spot.
Which isn't easy as this is in a
neighborhood with no extra parking.
Ate breakfast which was a
delic omelet with coffee.
Afterwards, I walked to
Cupcake Royale for a devilish dessert.
Drove all over the neighborhood
and finally found this very hidden
park that is right on the water.
Nothing like enjoying
oneself on a semi sunny day.

(These places are not in my area.
I drove about forty five minutes
into a part of Seattle
that my daughter knows.
She told me we just had to go out
to breakfast and get a cupcake.
Who am I to turn that down !!!)

Now that must have been a fabulous day! That looks like a terrific latté and while I've never had a lavender cupcake, I don't think I've ever met a sweet I didn't like. Yum!

Clearly your daughter knows best. From the looks of the menus, breakfast, coffee and dessert all looked delicious. I am amazed at how similar we look. Though I imagine you are taller than me, and you did get your hair cut while that's on my to-do list.
