Caught

Do you ever feel like you just got caught
doing what you wanted
but what might look
odd to someone else ?

The longer I'm on this plane,
I feel like I am on my own.
Not being one to follow.
Always doing my thing.

Even at this age, which is old,
(just ask my bones)
I  feel the need to be.

Most of my life,
I've been told what I should.
In the back of my head,
I knew that there was more.
Something else that I was meant.

I'm that gal who walks in the woods.
Looking at trees and up to the sky.
Seeing what most didn't notice.

In the end, I'll look like the quiet one.
They'll say they didn't know me.
I was shy.
I was the outsider.
I'll know different.
I was just being me.

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
