This morning I woke up
to a big poofy black cat next to me.
He was as close as one can get.
All cozy by my pillow.
I hated to wake him up.
Big Al is a dear old man.
We think he's the same age as the year.
Which would make him eleven now.
We got him from the local humane society.
Who got him from a hoarder situation.
I am his Grandma.
My daughter got him in grade school.
She's now in college.
I take care of my Grandson.
I pet him and tell him how nice he is.
(he has his trouble with the girls but who doesn't)
He sits on my lap ... all sixteen pounds of him.
He purrs and purrs and sends his soul to mine.
I hope he continues on for many more years.
He is the best Grandson anyone could have.

Ahhh! Purr-Zzz to Big AL!
He could pass for my Paisley!Love all that purring and cuddling we get from them.
YES you must go to the DBG when here..bring comfortable walking shoes as you could spend hours walking around! The butterfly garden is open now and all the Spring flowers will be in bloom!
BTW check out my list on sidebar of "vacation AZ" and see past posts I did of this amazing place!
Keep in touch before you come this way!
Waving from the desert1
That's one handsome dude!
He looks sweet & dear. My little Miss Celine, also a girl of advanced years, shares my pillow, too. I love it. *smile*
Big Al looks like a great friend. I have a kitty brother named Dudley that is 11 years old. I also have a kitty brother named Forrest Joseph that is 16 years old. I admire their wisdom....
Bless Big Al. I too hope he continues to give you much joy.
love

send his soul to mine - how perfect that is!!
what a wonderful way to put it
he is a big beautiful boy :)
He is gorgeous! Our Big BLack Cat, Rocky isn't so big anymore. He has been shrinking for years. He is 18 now! Still sweet, even though he can't see too well & we suspect Feline Alzheimers.
Love to Al~
extraordinary capture ...love it.
A handsome big boy -- we have Big Ed -- an outsize long haired black ex-tom.
Al is a beautiful boy and I totally agree with Kea=that line is lovely and purrfect!
Very nice feline.
Big Al looks like the purrfect Grandson.
He's a handsome fellow. Purrs and hugs!
JC, I hope the move and the cold are both in the past now. My cold turned into a lung infection, so I have been flattened for a while, but am starting to get back into the world.
My second daughter has a cat, and it amused people in school when I would send care packages to her, with a catnip mouse or other toy for my little grandson, Kathmandu.
