Window To My Soul

The darkness that surrounds me.
It comes in but never goes.
Always lingering in the back.
I need to sit for a while.
Listening to my thoughts.
I know what I want.
If only I could fly.

(again this was done on the fly)

The darkness can be so creepy... and yet it can be so soothing, allowing us to slow down and ponder thoughts such as these.

Well done.

There is just something about an open door and/or window that calls the soul to soar to fly --- to run with the wolves or fly with the geese.

Lovely fanciful poem captures the imagination of the 'free' spirit in all sentient beings.

Cheers,
Joanny

There comes a time in your life when you walk away from all of the drama and the people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right and pray for those who don’t. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living.
